Old Morrowind player, new install. I got everything I wanted working, but I am having an issue getting Dialogue, and sound effects, it plays music, but I get no sound.
I figured, bad install, so I reinstalled , and now I have no sound and my screen is solid white when I step on the deck of the boat in Seyda Neen, I fiddled with My MGE shaders, and distant land, but the problem still occurs.

Anyone encounter anything like this?

Does your game work with no mods and no MGE?

yes it works, I think the visual thing is Mge related, not sure about the sound
ok, it works with MGE disabled, but still no sound, could it have been messed up by a mod?

Only sound based mod I have (not enabled) is Better Music System

I think there is a setting for MGE so that it doesn't start doing stuff until after Char Gen, might be worth a shot to see if that works for you. No idea on the sound issue though

Well you can always manually disable mod by mod..

Or do a binary search for problem mods, might be a bit faster
