3D enabled Elder Scrolls

Here's the thing. If it was designed specifically for use in 3D, at a time when 3D TV's and PC monitors are affordable, then I might consider it.

Avatar only looked amazing because it was filmed in 3D- most other 3D movies are filmed in 2D, then converted- and look rather crappy IMO (and I find a lot of 3D movies to be a little disorienting and strain my eyes a bit). Plus, try watching a regular TV show, DVD or game on a 3D TV. I guarantee you'll wonder why you blew thousands of dollars on it.

So, for the time being,,, no. In 10 or 20 years? Maybe.

Yea you do have to sit there wearing glasses....... but holy [censored] balls its worth every second. Its a true thrill....

More voice actors would be good, thats something I notice more and more often these days...

But yes, the option for 3d is simple enough to "program around" that there is no reason it shouldn't be done....There is no comparison, games are a billion times more fun in 3d...

One guy on MTBS3d.com said a memorable line ; quote......... "3d is not different, its better".

What AliTheLord said. Making a game (or even a movie) that already has a 3D data set able to display TWO camera positions instead of one is so blitheringly easy it's a no brainer.

It's 11 lines of code. It will take several minutes at most, and will only cost however much whoever is writing the code gets paid for several minutes work.

If it was that easy why hasn't any developer done it in any game when it's been around so long? It just seems like the fact that not a single developer has done it shows that it's not feasible (and certainly not just 11 lines of code).

My first reaction is no. I don't want to have to wear some special glasses (over or behind my regular glasses) while gaming, I also think that if any developer could cause me to reconsider it would most likely be Bethesda.

this whole 3d thing has been beaten to death. every few years they bring it back to the movie screen and it hailed as the second coming of christ. it then flops and dies a slow miserable death.

 ^ so true, so true...

Voted "no" and "no". From what I understand, part of the reason why Gran Turismo 5 is taking so long to come out is because they're trying to make it 3D, I would not want to see the next TES game become delayed for ages due to something like this. Nor have I currently got the budget to afford a TV which supports this technology anyways.

TES:VI? That's another story. Perhaps by then, 3D may so popular games without it might seem antiquated. Then again, maybe not. :shrugs:
