I was getting really into this game yesterday, even managed to get to San Fran and as soon as I got home from Uni today, I loaded it up and my latest save files are missing, Does anyone know what the problem is? I run Vista 32 bit, I haven't experienced this problem until now. I can't choose an option to run the game as an administrator either (I read on another forum that this helps). I have other save files on there but they're about 2 weeks old. So basically, unless I can fix this issue I've lost about 3-4 hours of gameplay...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Were you playing with the Saves folder in windows explorer?

I do that quite often, I have seperate save folders for different characters. I rename each folder something like "Saves.JoeyJoJo" and then change the name back to the default (Saves or Save Games I don't remeber off hand) when I want to play that character again. I also created new save folders when I got to a new town when I first started playing. If none of this sounds familiar then I'm sorry I made you read it for nothing.

I don't think I was. My saves are stored here: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\BlackIsle\Fallout2

There's a list of save slots in one of the folders for my older games but despite saving multiple times in San Francisco, they arnet in there. I had a problem where I couldn't access the save by playing the game through Steam, but I could by clicking it on my desktop. Now the save has gone full stop.
