Exploring perk

Do you use it? I'm far from lvl 20 atm just wondering what you think of it. Doubt I will take it on my first run, it's kinda spoiling the exploration huh?

Never used it, never will. I even disabled the Points of Interest markers on my compass. I like exploring. :)

I bought the guide so it renders the perk useless.

Since I don't have any sense of direction (in game and in life) I did get this perk for my first playthrough. It was helpful up to a point, but believe it or not I still ended up going in circles. After that I don't bother with this perk, I just like to wander.

It can be helpful for a couple of the downtown locations. If it weren't for the perk I probably never would have known Takoma Park was there.

I took it on my first couple play-throughs, convinced that I’d miss something important if I didn’t. I was worried I’d somehow mess up 100+ hours of game-play, if I missed some key point.

I don’t see how it particularly “messes” anything up, you still can’t fast travel to a point until you’ve physically visited the location.

The first time I played Point Lookout, I hit level 20 while there and took the explorer perk. As I had no intention of returning, I used it to my advantage.

I use the guide, because I'm limited to Vanilla until my internet works, and I only got one L20 perk. I chose Grim Reaper's Sprint. But if I were allowed a second L20 perk, I might consider Explorer.

I enjoyed the perk, since you could miss something without it, i still wonder to and explore, theres lots of little houses and places to search thats not mapped.

If we chose the perk, and then RESET the perks... will it remove the exploring perk and leave all the maped locations on the map? ...I hope, because it could make a great glitch! ...Am gona try it (lvl 22 ...but , am just gona goof around and screw the the rest to get to lvl 23...and restart to lvl 22, if it works or not.).
