"Essential" mods?

Post » Mon Aug 16, 2010 4:53 pm

I'm thinking about playing some Morrowind again. I have played trough it once before, but that's many years ago... and I was not much of a mod user back then.
I've been playing a lot of Oblivion lately, and modding it improved the game drastically. Some mods are essential for me while playing Oblivion. I assume the same goes for Morrowind?

Are there any mods I should use for Morrowind? Any recommendations?

I would like mods affecting character creation (more faces and hairstyles), and some good general texture replacers would be nice.
Also any mod changing the combat would also be great.

Any other mod making the gaming experience better would also be appreciated. :)

I suggest Tamriel Rebuilt, http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org. It aims to add mainland morrowind to Vardenfell. If you know how to use it (which I somehow don't...)

Basically, Pluto's http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1060141-mod-recommendations-for-new-players/ is a great hub to find what ya want to find, not to mention I already assume ya know the existence of Better Bodies. That said, I would recommend looking into http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1105452-morrowind-graphics-extender-mge/ for some awesome eye candy, given if ya system can handle it.

Yeah, I realised that a few minutes after posting my thread.

Okay, thank you. That list looks useful, I'll look into it.
And about Better Bodies, I've tried it before and it looked awful together with the vanilla clothing and armor... if I find an armor/clothing replacer for it I will surely give it a try though. :)

I would recommend people use search button more often. Tyoing must have, must-have or some other mods, will surely bring you to something. :)
