Your Must Have Mods

Post » Fri Aug 20, 2010 6:17 am

So, what are your must have mods which, maybe arn't well known, but well created none the less. For me, its the Sunglasses Collection. Yeah, this is regarded as well known, but I just thought I should mention it.

But anyway, what are yours?

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2121! No longer is being shot in the arm several times something that makes you a bit less accurate, with a crippled arm you can't use 2-handed weapons anymore! (Optional: Right arm cripple means no weapons at all!), both arms and you should just run. Not for everybody, but I like it.

I've always gotta have http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8934
How many of us have walked in a building and heard something on the radio we couldn't stand and wanted to blow up the radio instead of turning it off, well, now you can with http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4783.
of course there are those times that dogmeat just seems to get in the way and you just want to kick him. Unfortunately that mod can no longer be found anywhere.

just had to say that but for me i love this simple little mod:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4453

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3115

These two give it a little more fun in Fallout for me, dunno how well known both are here though.

If we're talking about less well known mods (and not FWE/MMM/WMK etc) I'd like to recommend... my own mods. :D
That sounds a little like advertising, but I made them because I couldn't find them.

Other mods I have to have are
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2045: Essential if you want to create an extremely specialized character. Combine it with DarnUI to raise your skills above 100 with benefits.
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9741: A PDA replacer for the pipboy. Get rid of that hunk of metal at the end of your arm.
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=952: Makes NPC's shut their cake-hole if you accidentally glance at a locked container.
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5277: Makes shells and bullet casings litter the floor after a firefight.
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9037
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3729

I guess that's enough for a while. :)

Thank God, I've been looking for something like this!

The only reason that image exist is to show of my textures for the Desert Theme mod.

The mod Apocalyptic isn't currently available and will not be unless Yossarian22 allows me to release it.

But you get the same effect by downloaded the following.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1904 does that and more. Unfortunately it's not 100% compatible with FWE so I had to disable it

There was a thread like this not long ago. Something like The Underdog thread. Some of these I posted there:
(This time I have a link for Better Fire Damage. Thanks to Ghouls)

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6183 (Formerly Better Fire Damage) - Although I prefer the first version which is not available anymore.

I also have Destruction, I don't remember being able to destroy radios though. will check it out later, maybe I can trim down my already bloated load order.

A grenade usually does it, or a nearby explosion. I can't remember shooting any. I just remember seeing and hearing a radio, then after the fire fight stopped there was no radio, just a charred smudge where it used to be. I assume it went Boom.

Anything by myself, of course! :hubbahubba:

Also, since I tend to go for 'good' karma endings: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7383

This makes it so if you choose to let the ghouls into Tenpenny through diplomacy, they don't slaughter the residents later on. I actually DO that quest now, instead of avoiding it.

Cheers,

Coleen.

Among my favorites are:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/search.php
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3769
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7565
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2553
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10209
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6550
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6170

These are some of my favorites - my mods usually go toward making the world a harsh wasteland (but still fun!) that is nitty-gritty and filled with terror and the unknown. Moving through the dark nights with a dust storm wondering when a monstrosity might emerge from the shadows while I scavenge is always an evening's entertainment :)

I made http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2672 because I simply couldn't play without it. There are alternatives - Wasteland Moods is very good, but a little lacking in subtlety to be used all the time.

FOOK2 is also high on my list of necessities, though just as many others prefer FWE.

I'd love MMM if only it was a little more stable.

MMM is quote stable for me , and you can use FOOK2 with FWE too.
