Soon enough, Superian and I were clear of Bravil to the south. I donned a pair of rings, then smiled as the pink glow of my dinner appeared. Slipping to the ground, I reached for Slayer.

The kill was quick and clean. Moments later, I was kneeling before the small buck as I cut my arrow free. Satisfied with its condition, I wiped the blood off and returned the arrow to my quiver. After field dressing the deer to reduce his weight, I looked up from the pile of entrails on the ground to the circling scavengers overhead. "Be patient, we'll be gone in a few minutes, then you can come down and have your dinner too."

I thanked the spirit of the buck for his energy that would feed my bow and his flesh that would sustain me and others. Even his pelt would be made into a new pair of buckskin greaves for me. I silently called Superian to my side with a spell, and tied the deer to her back just behind my saddle.

We started retracing the short trip home. I would sell a portion of the deer to Nilawen, and buy some Tamika wine for cooking. Some of the meat would go to Daenlin - we often shared kills. The rest of my fresh venison would go into the stew I would share with Aradroth tonight.

I had all the necessary ingredients. Corrick Northwode, of Harm's Folly, had insisted I take a good supply of fresh potatoes, carrots, onions and leeks from his farm. Herbs and spices were in my alchemy cabinet. That worked fine as long as I didn't add nightshade or the wrong kind of mushrooms to my stew. One such mistake had made Daenlin sick for days. I now kept potions of cure poison handy when I cooked.

Acadian's entry reminds me that there are quite a number of ingredients in TES IV that grow on houses, instead of plants. Apples, Pears, Oranges, Onions, Garlic, Beef and especially Ironwood Nuts. (But no Lemons!)

It makes sense for Cheese, Sweetrolls, Shepherd's Pie etc. to be available only that way, but would harvesting from fruit trees and onion and garlic plants have been so hard to do? And why can't I take Mutton and Potatoes and make my own Shepherd's Pie?

Is it actually possible to, say, bake cakes or cook other foods, or can you only eat the ingredients?

Btw, Acadian, what's the hair style you've used in your signature screenshot? Camarilla is thinking about going to the hair salon =)

You can sell potions and name them yourself, I think no matter the effects..
There may be a mod, that allows it, I would think using the shepards pie mesh instead of a bottle for pies, or a coverd pot for soups and stews..
Combined with the script editor to make some that the modder thought of themselves?
If I were not very lazy, and newish to modding I may have a go.

What would be easier, is an Oven, that when activated, checks the players inventory for the ingredients needed, Removes those, then adds the completed product to them, or even better, make it so it takes some time to get completed. Even better, expand it beyond shepards pie, so that when the Oven is activated, it gives you a menu of choices(No pun intended). I'm sure this could be done by a good modder, but alas I cant mod, or I would make this.

1. Without mods? No. You can certainly combine apple + strawberry and name the resulting potion Appleberry Juice. Or name potions anything you want, like Water.

2. Corean 19. Buffy's favorite stylists are Corean and Ren. Both have wonderful little boutiques in LA (Lower Anvil). Buffy changes hairstyles to suit her mood and purpose, but Corean 19 is her fave.

Millstone farm adds apple, pear and Ironwood trees, and an oven - unforetunately they are only at the farm.

There could be some sort of 'McTamriel' providing unusual combinations of bread, patties and whatnots, served always by those 'smiles for free' attendants.

My three main characters are meat lovers, but they enjoy these:

Justin: Melted cheese on toast (bread and cheese, obviously)

Xavier: Fried mushrooms (troll fat with any safe mushroom)

Margo: roast beef liberally seasonned with onions and garlic.

Place Beef and Potatoes in your mortar & pestle and grind them into a liquefied, viscous paste. Ta-da! It's Steakpaste?, a portable meat snack. Steakpaste? combines the soft, chewy consistency of paste with the great flavor of steak.

We all know that you can combine Troll Fat with Imp Gall and get something that improves your personality. So what is it? Toothpaste? Perfume? Hair Gel? Chewing Gum?

Well how about taking some of these:

Eat an apple; swallow some flour; bite one of those Gingko leaves; and some Ginseng...

?

Do that and you will:

Restore Fatigue + Damage Luck + Fortify Willpower + Damage Health
Restore Fatigue + Damage Personality + Fortify Fatigue + Reflect Damage
Restore Speed + Fortify Magicka + Damage Luck + Shock Damage
Damage Luck + Cure Poison + Burden + Fortify Magicka

In summary:
You will become fast, stubborn, ready for action, lose coin tosses 20x straight, electrified, able to predict weather, look horrible (probably flour on face)... ?

*Starts to combine beef and bread loaf*

You know what would be good on this hamburger? A ham sandwich.

*Starts to add ham to concoction*

Hey, why don't we replace the bread loaf with a sweetroll? Then we could have a Sweetroll-Ham-Hamburger!

Fifty billion points to whoever gets the reference

You win!

On a more serious note, I'd like to combine bread loaf + tomato + garlic and have some bruschetta. Too bad there's no olive oil.

I like to make sandwiches also, if there was Sauerkraut I'd make like a gazillion Reubens.

Ye especially after you've killed 6 people in public go to every city (10 bottles) to get the guard after you resist arrest everywhere and run like Mankar Cameron while casting spells to increase agility and athletics. Really fun.
