Back to the Roots...

Alright, this first post is just to get the thread on the board, so I don't waste so much time typing all this only to get an error message. The real help I'm asking for will come in the next post.

Capital! So, my girlfriend and I are going to try and start a d20 roleplaying campaign. Since I did not want to waste the time building a world, I decided what better a settting than one that I knew about and had plenty of fantasy material ready to go? That's right, I chose to get back to Tamriel's D&D roots with a twenty-sided-die campaign set there! However, I am quickly running into problems. 1, she's an Elder Scrolls noob (matter of fact, RPing by any rules is a new idea to her), and 2, I cannot for the life of me think of a good first quest. Here's the info about our game.

Location: Currently, Vvardenfell, just before the events of TES3.
My character: Bedrich Acronis, a human bard (d20 race and class), level 1, touring the continent from his native Hammerfell in order to gain experience to ply his trade with.
Her character: Larien, an elf rogue (again, d20), level 1, took to the road because she was never quite accepted for her parentage: Altmer father and Bosmer mother. Has a dog, which is half-bred also.

So there's that. Any good ideas for an easy first quest, preferably in the Balmora area, that gets us nice and acquainted with Tamriel?

If this is for RP ideas, I have a great title:

Broken Souls :: The Eulogy

A Eulogy for all the broken souls, greiving now and forevermore.

Okay, the Mages guild needs a package delievered to caldera, and it turns out the package just so happens to be the approval papers for new allocations towards hiring mercs. And guess what, you might as well be a merc. You get your bearing through some basic quests involving problems the guild is having around Caldera (bandits ambushing mages, just an example) After this, you can decide whether to go on your own, or wait in town and wait for more work.

Couple good ideas here. I like the basic nature of them, although we would like to get out of Morrowind at some point.
