The Seventeenth
Idea/ Sign-Up: Based on The Door


The Oblivion Crisis marked a new era of prosperity and peace. The sun rose and set many a time, and the people of Tamriel were happy. For the majority, everyone had seemed to set aside their differences and work on rebuilding.

4E 7:
A HUGE Ruin, not even classified under any known race, appears outside of the Imperial City. Ever since it's appearance, storms rolled in from all sides, and it has been like that ever since. The sky is black, and the rain is not stopping. The Council decided to send a small squad of Mage-Accompanied Legionaries into the ruin.

The group came back, and said that they found no sign of life. But what they did find was some kind of ancient door. The mages said it had an incredible magical pressure, and that they guessed that the door guarded some rip in space and time.

4E 9: The same group opened the door, and went into the portal. They have never been heard from since.

4E 10: The Champion of Cyrodiil, along with a group of heavily armed adventurers trek into the portal. Two people make it back out, excluding the Champion. There was something very wrong with them, and upon many tests the Arcane University deemed them soulless.

The Empire forbade anyone from going near that place, and have guards set up all around it. And for five years, it has gone on like this. The massive ruin looms over the Imperial City, and the storms keep on pounding Tamriel.

4E 16: By what seems like a Miracle, the Champion of Cyrodiil makes it out of the portal. He is not soulless like the other two, but he is heavily wounded. The Mages' Guild try to interview him on what he saw in there, but he does not talk.

4E 17: The Champion of Cyrodiil says something. In what seems like five different voices, the Champion warns:

Beyond the door lies the 17th. The 17th is death. The 17th is hell.

Her power is growing. Soon, Her shadows will cast darkness upon your world. And in the darkness, you are not safe. In the darkness, you will die. In the darkness, lies the 17th.

Only 'The Chosen' can stop Her.


And right after that, the Champion fell over…dead. The Council and Mages' Guild argue about who 'The Chosen' is.

4E 20: After three years of arguing, a Legion Guard who was guarding the ruin claimed to have found a mysterious book.

One man named Ananaire studied it for an entire year. After his research was completed, he became blind. He informed the council: "Upon studying this book, I have found 'The Chosen'. The book says that they are the light to the darkness, they are the only one that can stop Her.

"The book also says, that if 'The Chosen' perish in the '17th', then She will begin her invasion on the living world."

Ananaire hands over a list of names, and the Council debates whether to risk them or not.

At last, the Council comes to a decision that they have to, or it will just be a matter of time before She invades regardless.

4E 23: 'The Chosen' are all accounted for. They are transported to The Ruin and stand before the great door.

4E 23: 'The Chosen' enter The Seventeenth…

What YOU do: You are one of the Seventeenth that was taken by the legion and brought to the Ruin. Right now, the people of Seventeenth are sitting in an antechamber, which beyond it lies the door to the unknown. You, the Chosen, will travel into the unknown, and face what the darkness has to offer.

But you are not without help. Each person can draw upon a special power in dire needs. And with this, you can fight the darkness which lies beyond.

Ex. Johnny the Orc can create an impenetrable shield around him and others to shield them from harm.
Ex. Lucy the Breton can summon an ancient guardian which protects her and others.

In addition to the Special Powers, the chosen have an extremely strong grasp of combat. However, it is locked deep within themselves, and they will have to learn to tap into that power before they can do anything extraordinary.

Ex. After months of meditation, Charlie taps into his power, and is now an extremely skilled fighter. Able to cut through entire trees, and jump 10 feet in the air, Charlie is one deadly warrior.

Physical Description:Tall and slightly built he has long red hair tied into dreds. the dreds raach to his knees. he usualy has white face paint and or neck paint

Mental Description:quiet,untrusting,timid but quick to anger and fearless once upset,or when fighting for something he wants

Special Power Description:the abilitiy to control the air and lightning.

Brief History:Born in the imperial city. he was beaten and scorned by imperial foster parents. As well the other orphans picked on him. he belived himself worthless and he began to distance himself. his cold demeanor and like to wear white face paint made others believe he was a vampire,or so the kids would tease. one day Fuma broke and beat a kid the flat side of a shovel. Fuma fled the angry orphanage and was being chased by a group of boys as well as a particularly nasty male employee. Inexplicably it began to storm,and the heavy winds and frequent lighting caussed the group to call off the chase. Fuma had been living in a cave,killing rats and living off of the food for the last 3 months before being found by the legion. he fought the men savagely with a Katana he found on a dead adventurer. Thankfully he was so weak with malnourish that he didnt seriously harm any of the legionares.

Clothing:Shritless, the rags from the orphanage quickly fell to peices,he has on exotic shoes and silk pantaloons he found on a dead body

Perferred Weapon: his long,sharpened fingernails,and the katana he found
Misc.:not much he had no belongings at the orphanage. he has a few bones he deems will bring him good luck and the paste he uses for face-paint

Second, to be exact. Took the idea and molded it in a different fashion. The first one I had was over a World War of sorts.

Physical Description: Is a tall and thin male with a pale complexion. Hasshort brown hair.

Mental Description: Isnt very talkative due to always reading and studying. Always pipes up when someones talking about something he read in his books. Always looking into the UNOFFICIAL ELDER SCROLLS PAGES.

Special Power Description: Powerful healing spell that works on one other. can only use when one of the divines feel he should. when hes able to use it he starts feeling strange.
Brief History: As a baby Ardan was left on Estelle Renoits doorstep. He has no idea who his birth parents where. Growing up Estelle encouraged him to read saying "knowledge is golden." He grew up to be a traveling scholar and always has a book for the current situation. He learned how to handle a bow due to having honditar teach him. Uses his bow to protect himself whilst traveling.

Clothing: Wears
Perferred Weapon: iron bow with 30 iron arrows.
Misc.: Has an amulet that was with him when Estelle found him. Is a good luck charm. Strangely it helps him shoot his bow a little better.

Expand on your physical description, and redo your mental description.

Also, expand on the people you mention in your bio. Who are they? What do they do?
And for Clothing, I have no idea what 'wears' is.

Physical Description: Very young and thus, shorter than others, shorter than a normal Dunmer but very agile in his build. Jet black hair runs down to his shoulders. Angular facial features, but is almost always smiling.

Mental Description: Always feels he needs to be somehwere, but never knows how to get there. He's generally open and friendly but he won't accept it when someone decides it's fun to hurt him or his friends.

Special Power Description: The ability to move quicker than any human, (Or creature) eye can follow, can't hold the ability for long and still hasn't gotten a hold of it yet.

Brief History: Redras was a simple child, living with his family and doing jobs for both his parents and everyone he could. He ended up getting a reputation for doing things quickly, much quicker than any other child could manage, he could run faster than the others and always put a lot of effort into it. On his fifteenth Birthday he was kidnapped by the Legion and now, after a Month of travelling; he's arrived at The Door.

Clothing: Long sleeved stained red wool shirt, dark leather pants, cowhide shoes.
Perferred Weapon: Fine Steel Shortsword that he either keeps in his sheath or up his sleeve if he wants to hide it.
Misc.: Null.

Ardan didnt know who his birthparents were so he took the last name Renoit. Ardan is alot like Estelle such as he enjoys reading and is a patient person. When he was in his teens Ardan would spy on Honditar for hours watching him handle a bow. One day Honditar caught him spying and Ardan asked if honditar would teach him how to handle a bow. Ardan is a decent marksmen and can shoot the bullseye 6/10 times with his bow.

Clothing: Wears common middle class clothing.
Perferred Weapon: iron bow with 30 iron arrows.

Physical Description: average height and build for an imperial but has fairly strong arms from working in the blacksmiths. He has Green eyes, short white hair that often sticks up at odd angles and is often covered in dirt and grime. he is fairly agile but not that fast.

Mental Description: prefers to be on his own and doesn't rely on anyone but himself. he is always grateful for what he has or is given. he is usually calm and collected but dislikes talking about his time on the streets and can get agressive if anyone brings it up.

Special Power Description: can predict, mimic and memorise the movements of a person, creature or object simply by seeing it and can track fast moving objects. Can't reliably mimic movements or track fast objects yet and is often not fast enough to react to what he can see.

Brief History: he lived on the streets of Chorrol and as such had to fend for himself and was always very observant. he often watched members of the fighters guild train. He was taken in by a blacksmith as an apprentice when he was 12. When he tried using a sword he found that he had a 'natural' skill with the blade but when he tried again his skill was gone. He was arrested on trumped up charges and was taken to the door.

Clothing: leather sandals, black shirt and black smith leather pants.
Preferred Weapon: short swords and daggers (has one of each)

Special Power Description: Aaron can collect and concentrate gases into the palm of his hand into a dense mass. He can manipulate the size of the gathered gas ball. The smaller the ball, the greater the destructive power. It can be used as a thrown attack, where it moves as fast as a throwing knife, or can be used as a direct attack. When used as a close range attack, Aaron is subjected to sudden blowback from the attack. The smaller the ball, the stronger the blowback.

Brief History:Aaron grew up as the son of two servents. His parents saved up so he could leave and live his own life. His travels brought his to various schools for combat, where he gained the knowledge of his power and learned to use a lajatang.

Clothing: Black wide pants, a dark green shirt and cowhide shoes

Race: Half Breton, quater Khajiit and quater Imperial.

Physical Description: Very strong for his age with toned muscles and a wide jaw and a strange mix of Khajiit/Breton eyes, they have cats pupils but are blue. he's quite tall and very attractive. His hair is blonde and quite long and put in a that really shows off his personality, and is held up by candle wax.

Mental Description: He is happy most of the time but has the right attitude for the right situations and can be a really great laugh, just like his mother.

Special Power Description: A trait he's inherited from his father who contracted it from an Ayleid tomb. He can open a recess in his hand where a rough, glowing lightning powered crystal will shoot out that can be used as a light or weapon. (ie. Spear or Arrow)

Brief History: He was born upon his father's ship where he was raised as a child who could defend himself very well, he was taught sword fighting, spear, sword and un-armed combat. When his uncle died when he was 10 he and his family (Mother and father, Firenze and Adire) travelled from the Imperial City to Anvil for a Viking burial and ended up living there with his parents. 4 years later he heard that soldiers were collecting children for something called 'The Seventeen' and found a warrant for his capture outside The Flowing Bowl. In fear and panic he packed his bag, said farewell to his parents and went into hiding, after a year however they found him and took him to some Ayleid ruin...

Clothing: A white collared shirt, a leather (not armoured) coat which he rolls the sleeves of up, with grey cloth trousers and leather boots (yet agian not armoured.)

Misc.: 2 bread rolls in his jacket pockets.

Physical Description: Like all Suthay she is quite short (about 4"0) and skinny. She has short fur that is an amber colour. While it is clean, it has also dulled due to her years living on the streets. One of her eyes is green and one is blue (Heterchromia)

Mental Description: She has learnt to speak with her claws, but also that running away can be the best action. Due to her frequent skooma use she hallucinates. Learning from experience she never EVER trusts other people-at least not yet.

Special Power Description: Can get her claws to grow twice their normal length

Brief History: Moon's mother worked at Desele's House of Earthly Delights. Her father is unknown. As a kit she lived with her mother, and developed a skooma addiction. When she became adolescent her mother sold her to Desele. Soon after she escaped to Vivec where she lived on the streets, until she was captured by the imperials.

Clothing: A robe that is obviously the cheapest available to buy

Mental Description: He is a lore master, and his intellegence and wisdom can match that of any monk or scholar, he may seem to have magic potential, however, during his upbringing he had little time for training in the arcane arts.

Special Power Description: He can calm, speak to and control lesser animals, he can channel his mind and slow his heartbeat which allows him to concentrate and fire his bow with extreme accuracy, precision, and strength

Brief History: he was born and grew up in Valenwood, in the woods, he was raised on the bow and was often labeled as a freak because of his height, but when he came to Cyrodiil he was mis-labeled as a god, he spent many months medetating and practicing with his bow, and he became better then the greatest marksman in all of Valenwood.

Perferred Weapon: Longbow crafted from some unidentified wood, the string is a blessed strand of elf hair, he uses silver arrows but will craft arrows out of any materials he may come across, he also carries and elven longsword(A elven shortsword the length of a longsword)

Mental Description: Mentally, Jeszzet is calm and balanced after years of meditation and practice in with the Armigers and Warrior Monks of the Tribunal temples, as well as Ashland wise-women and hunters. His mind has transformed his body into a powerful weapon. He is kind and generous.

Special Power Description: Jeszzet has the ability to perform feats of extreme agility and acrobatics. From jumping 40 ft in the air and landing without so much as a bruise. He is also able to climb any building and overcome any obstacle in his way (think Parkour or Assassin's Creed). At the height of his meditation and mental state, he can summon enough energy and magicka to warp to a nearby place, but not TOO far.

Brief History: Jeszzet was born into an Ashland tribe, where he learned from the hunters and wise-women to respect and draw energy from the lands surrounding you. Early on he was a skilled hunter, and every day after a successful hunt, he would meditate. Through this meditation he was touched by an unknown presence.

The Ashlanders knew something had happened to Jeszzet, so he was exiled. All he had were the clothes on his back. He traveled to Vivec, seeking help from the Tribunal temple. They too felt a strange and, from what they said, an unholy presence within Jeszzet. He was to be brought before the Tribunal themselves.

Vivec, and even the divine Lady Almalexia joined, Sotha Sil... unaccounted for. Jeszzet was believed to be possessed, but Vivec saw something in him, sensed something nobody else could. At the time, Jeszzet was only 21. Vivec sent him to Holamayan, to be tutored by the monks that lived their. In time, he became a warrior.

Perferred Weapon: A long staff carved of Ironwood, in its core is ebony, the top is studded with pieces of Daedric metal and runes. It is tipped with a sharpened curved ebony blade.

Misc.: 2 Earrings on both ears.
