Journal Entry 3E457 Midas Day 14

At long last I have found it. My Lords Shrine. The general of my ancestors, Saint Nerevar. After so many years of following clues an puzzels of wich seemed so pointless. As we opened the stone made coffin I was shocked to see that his full body was perfectly well preserved. Not even in the lesser tombs of Vvardenfell would you find a slowly decomposed corpse, But this... This is truely amazing. His skin is perfectly set on his structure, although loosing its dark color, It is a wonderous sight. His armor is also wondefull. As my staff glows with its bright light the armor glows with a golden aura, It's as hard as ebony but as light and flexible as Dark brotherhood armor. Wich reminds me. Last night A group of those pesky assassins gained entry into my tower in an attempt to kill me. Very clear they failed obviously. But at a great cost. My apprintice, Donweave, Died defending me. I hold much grief for his passing. He was like a son to me. He would have made a great wizard. Now back to the expedition, Like I said it is fasinating. I now wait for Urshilaku grave keepers to come and remove the shrine and move it to its home in the ashlands. I find myself to bow before it every time I walk by it. I hold as much respect for it as I now hold for the Nerevarine, Who now has left Vvardenfell and where he is at is unknown to me. This is my last entry of the expedition I don't expect to write more in the later days but I will try to remember, It is getting hard for me to focus. The visions have come back. I thought they ended after my child hood. I was wrong......

A chosen path

It was nearly noon as the sun reached it's height and shone through the window shining at the young dunmers face. He flinched a couple of times then took his head off the open book. Again he had forced himself to stay up late to complete his studies on the Tribunal temple. Although he didn't like the thought of following his fathers footsteps in becoming a priest for Vivec. He had his own dream, Of becoming a Telvanni wizard, Like his grandfather. The man He respected more then his own father, Even though he never met him. "Sparda you up? Get out here and help your father plow before it rains." Sparda wiped his eyes and stretched his arms. His tall figure arched as he leaned back. He then stood up and was soon tackled by his sister, Jilhama. "You were talking in your sleep again last night! It was pretty funny." She gave her brother a tight hug then ran back out of the room into the dining area to help clean up the breakfest mess.

Sparda stood back up and messed with his silver hair wich grew halfway down his neck, then walked outside of the small shack like house to find his father plowing the garden. "Well finally you woke up Boy! Hurry grab a plow and help me get this done so we can plant some saltrice before it rains." Sparda nodded then grabbed the extra plow that leaned against the house outside wall. He then joined his father and plowed. It was faster then his father thought they were done in only a few minutes and they son planted the seeds and were done. Sparda put his plow away then headed down to lake Amaya.

He picked out his usual spot, a single flat boulder wich he sat ontop of. The sun reached halfway into the sky, making the lake sparkle as its waves rippled across. He stared out to thedistance across the lake to the north. His red eyes narrowed as he say flashes of light. He squinted a bit and his eyes focused closer and he saw two mages practicing their spells. Soon his attention was Diverted as his mother yelled out to him. Yet again it was time to visit the City of vivec. Sparda jumped down off of the rock and walked quickly to join his family, occasionaly looking back across the lake.

It was an rest of the day walk to Vivec. The family soon reached the Temple Canol where candels lit the sides and the statues. They stopped breifly infront a group of priests and priestesses. Sparda almost forgot what today was. It was his sisters Admitance into the temple ranks. She was now a full fledged member of the Tribune, and with her own choice To be a priestess under Amelexia. Sparda was happy for his sister. Even with his disrespect and unlove for the temple. His sister was the only one who really cared for him in the family. But first she must make her pilgrimage. To start it she would need to pray at the way shrine at Vivecs palace. Then, She would have to travel to the others across Vvardenfell.

The meeting bored Sparda. While attention on him was limited he slipped away from the group and walked around the city. He went exactly were he was forbiden to go. But he didn't care for the rules of his mother and father, He was going to move away fro the house soon and be free to live his own life, Even if it ment being disowned by them both. He couldn't take it any longer. The beatings, yelling and the lectures, He had to get away. He walked up the ramp and entered the Telvanni Building. He was amazed by the structures, a small tower sat in the center of the large room. Along with crystals and mushroom trees. There were few wizards walking around, but it didn't take much to grasp Sparda's curiosity. He looked to the side after hearing loud flashing noises. There was the two mages he saw across the lake.

They weren't mages at all, but apprintice wizards. The different spells they were casting were facinating, the different colors were like art. He wanted to do the same, he wanted to be like his grandfather wich he had heard stories about. A powerful wizard, but had no love from Spardas parents. Nor the rest of the family for that matter, He was spoken as a traitor of sorts, of the tribune temple. Sparda unconciously stepped forward to get closer. And soon a hand slaps down on his shoulder. "Only telvanni belong in here. And you Don't look like a telvanni." Sparda turned his head to look at the old Dunmer who held his shoulder. The old man looked very familiar. His hair was silver, same as Spardas'.

"Ah, I know you!" The old man replaced his hand and forcely shook spardas', then turned his hand over exposing his wrist. There lay his birthsign. The mark of a half moon with a slashing line wich exposed a sun behind the moon. The old man smiled. "You are my grandson." Sparda looked dazed into the old mans eyes. soon the old man yanked Sparda with him to the exit door. "You shouldn't be here, Your parents will Disown you!" Sparda shook off his suprise and soon filled himself with hate. He yanked away. "No, I don't care about them anymore!" Sparda clentched his fists, He wanted to yell out. It was his anger and frustrations building up, and now it had to be let out. He felt power though, Awkward to him. When he snapped back to reality he saw his grandfather smiling while looking down at his wrist. The mark was glowing red, like the color of his eyes.

His grandfather nodded. "Then it is time? You are the age to move away. Tell me Sparda, Are you ready?" Sparda was stricken again with suprise, His dreams where coming true, or his past visions. Now he knew why this day was familiar. He had seen it. He was told at young age that he had a gift, But then they were cast out being exposed as just dreams of a child. He nodded slowly and then he was pulled to the Tower. After that night he never saw his parents again, besides to grab his personal items and move away, To the Telvanni home town, Sadrith Mora..

Consent of the Council

The day was bright As Sparda stood on the grassy hill in the Grazelands. He looked around and saw nothing but endless evergreen feilds and trees. A guar walked behind him carrying a sadle wich held sacks and boxes. He felt strange, well in a matter that he couldn't feel anything at all but the suns rays hitting his skin. There was no good mood set out on this day. He blinked once and the horizon became smaller, It was like he was standing on a small island. He walked forward to the edge and looked down. It was an endless abyss of white nothingness. Soon there was a faint voice. Sparda reckognized it right away and looked back up, There was another small island.

Again the voice came calling his name. His sister soon appeared. It was clear, He was dreaming. Her soft fragile voice was like music to him, it brought him peace of mind. But quikly the peace changed to fear. Behind his sister a firey hellish gate opened up. From it a dramora amurged. He charged forward twards Jilhama holding an axe and bringing it up to swing at her. Sparda couldn't move. He tried to scream but he couldn't breath. His chest tightened and he fell to his knees. It was sudden as the axe came crashing down on Jilhama. She fell off the island and everything started to fade and grew darker. He woke up yelling her name and then looked around. He was back in his grandfathers tower.

His Grandfather watched him from the corner. "You have dreams like that often?" Sparda turned his head. "I have nightmares if thats what you mean." His grandfather sighed. "What did you see?" He got up and walked over to a cabinetinfront of Spardas' bed. "It was Jilhama. We were standing on seperate islands, surrounded by nothing, yet divided." His grandfather opened one side of the cabinet and pulled out an amulet that sparkeled with a green emerald. "some kind of gate opened up behind her and a deadra walked out and... and slew her." Sparda felt some kind of fear, like he knew it was going to happen. "You know Sparda, My Grandfathers father, Or your great great great Grandfather, Was a psych. He saw things, some things were false, and others. Well lets say he learned how to tell the difference." Sparda turned to a sitting position his legs off the side. "To bad he couldn't foretell that his wife would send assassins to kill him." He placed the amulet around sparda' neck.

"What is this?" Sparda looked at the strange thing. He could feel powerful magic. It pulsed within his hand. "It was his. and it seems he was right. The fifthteenth generation of kin would get the gift. Or curse, that is for you to decide." Sparda looked at his Grandfather. "I was never told your name Grandfather." The old man sighed in disbeleife. "Your parents don't have honor at all. To tell you about me why they hate me and not tell you my name." He grabbed his staff from the corner. It was remarkable, white wood with a clear crystal set ontop. "My name is Adres." He looked to the strange mechanism ontop of the cabinet wich shoud a sun and strange figures. "And we are late to meet the council about your future. Hurry get your robes and lets go."

Adres hurried out of the room and down the stairs. Sparda looked at the strange thing then hurried to his dresser. He pulled out white robes and boots. After he dressed he ran down to meet his grandfather who stood at the front doorway. We won't make it by boat so we can Recall there. I have a mark spell set up." He motioned for Sparda to stand near him. "Touch the crystal." Sparda placed his hand on the staffs glowing crystal and soon the room they were standing in went bright and then the sounds of crystals appeared and they arrived in a green plant like room with a circular table. Adres sat in a chair closest to him and motioned for sparda to sit in the next chair. He sat down and they waited.

(yeah im still posting it :P Most of it I might have to rewrite I seem to be missing files. Oh well I can change some stuff around atleast and make it a little better. <.< )

They waited only a few minuts when the Doors across the room opened a group of wizards entered along with the High wizard. "Early as always Adres?" The man asked as he sat down with the others. Adres smiled. "A wizard is neither late nor early. He arrives when he means to." The man smiled back. "So this is Sparda?" Everyone looked at Sparda with curiosity. "He is yes." Sparda looked around at all the faces. Adres reached over for his arm and set it on the table wrist up, showing his birthmark. "I have seen it glow, He wasn't broken by his parents as you know of our family history Vedrian." The high wizard nodded. "Although He has the markings and the power of wich you speak we must consult buisness first then we can discuss his place among the Telvanni." Adress nodded slightly. "Sparda could you step outside, I'll send for you when we are done."

Sparda took one last look around the room then got out of his seat and left. He closed the doors behind him and looked down the hall. There was a hole at the end wich exposed a large room on the other side. And then to his suprise He saw a young wizard float up through the hole. The youngwizard walked Sparda' way and sparda motioned tward him. "You can levitate?" The young dunmer smiled. "Yes of course. Its a basic spell." Sparda nodded. "Your the new Student aren't you? With adres?" Sparda looked back at the door. "Yes, He's my grandfather actually." The dunmer smiled in suprise and reached out his hand. Sparda shook it. "Wow, I didn't know he had a grandson. you should be honored, He's a powerfull wizard. My names Bevan." Sparda smirked he knew he made a new friend. "Im sparda Invetious. Its a pleasure to meet you." Bevan looked dow nthe hall and then back at Sparda. "Well I gotta get to My studies. It was nice meetign you aswell." He then walked down the hall and sparda leaned against the wall.

He waited almost an hour and was about to fall asleep when the doors opened and the council walked out. He stepped away from the wall and joined Adress. "Well your now officially a young wizard." He smiled looking at sparda' expression. "And you are my apprintace. and I don't want to give you false hope but you might also be my mouth." Sparda looked at his grandfather with confusion. "A mouth? Whats a mouth?" Adres chuckled. "Well a mouth is a wizard that gives out tasks to the lesser wizards who are students. They are still students themselvs but they have only the basics of being a master to learn." They came to a large Doorway wich adres opened revealing some young wizards and a teacher. "Sorry Grethen but This is Sparda and he is the newest member. I want all of you students to treat him with the most respect liek you would eachother and your teachers." He shoved Sparda in the room. "I have duties to attend to I will be back when your finished here and we will go out and do some excavating."

Adres left closng the doors behind him and Sparda stood there. "Well Don't just stand there sit down." Sparda nodded then found a seat nearest to the door and sat down. The lesson took hours but was fun. Everyone participated in casting various spells, most took a couple of tries to cast Destruction spells like fire, shock and ice. But Sparda got them down first try. Soon the class was over and Adres met Sparda outside the room. they walked out of the tower while talking abotu the class and the spells Sparda learned, the basic destruction spells, The foundations of alteration levitation, water walking, light. And then mysticism with travel spells such as mark and recall. They walked down to the gateway Inn exiting Sadrith Mora and arrived at the docks. The boat was just arriving when adres cleared his throat. "Well that wil be the last class you would be attending. the rest of your studies are with me. I put books in your room, you study them and you will practice spells. After a few months of studying and attending explorations with me you will be tested by the council and then you will be given the rank of mouth. but thats if you pass. So study hard."

Sparda nodded letting Adres know he got it all down in his memory. "This would be easier then I thought. I was thinking I would be taking classes all the time." Adres laughed. "No no just for the spells you just learned and quickly if I may say so myself. Yes he told me of your progress, thats why you passed. Now we get on the boat and we can start our journey to the grazelands. We're going to try and look for clues of Nerevars shrine and tomb."

It was a slow and long boat ride. Sparda was fortunate that his Grandfather had brought books for him to read. He picked through the few books and came apon the Manual of spellcraft. After a time of reading the sky became darker. Sparda was finished reading the books braught with them and was now staring off into the stars. He learned of the different constelations of stars after reading the Firemant. The particular star constelation that interested hm was the Atronauch. It was his constelation. It was only rumor that those born under the sign were to be the most powerful magicians. Sparda saught it to be true after meeting his Grandfather. His power was even greater then the high wizard of the telvanni. Well of what everyone said. Sparda wanted to see Adres' power for himself. If he were to know the extremes and extents of his own power, he needed to know what power flowed through his veins.

But how was he to see the great legendary power? He thought Levitation, and recalling were fasinating. "Shore aproaches!" The ships captain yelled out. Adres gathered his things and the books he had given Sparda to read and placed them in a large sack. Soon the boat arrived at the port of Vos. It was to be the new Telvanni tower town. The beachhead wasbare excluding the dock and the strange growth that would soon form a building. And off to the right lay a walled housing area. Adres started off down the dock with Sparda close behind. "Might want to levitate up this, Its very steep." Adres pointed at the coming hill to the small town. It was indeed steep. Soon as they hit the incline Adres began to float up from the ground to the top of the hill.

Sparda worked his hands in the movements he learned earlier that day. He soon lifted from the ground with consintration. He floated slowly up the hill and met with Adres. Adres chuckled. "You will get used to it. Don't be afraid of falling." He began walking twards the town, and they soon came apon an inn. It was some what smaller then usual inns Sparda had been too but It had rooms to sleep in for the night. And he felt tired after the day. Adres aproached the inn keeper andpurchased two rooms, which would be the only available. The two started down to the rooms they were right next to eachother. Adres opened the first door, the room was small with only a cupboard and a bed. the room still seemed a bit small for both but it was enough space to put things away to sleep and rest. Adres motioned his hand into the room. This was Sparda'. Sparda walked in and sat on the bed.

"Get some sleep, We leave by day break. By azuras dawn." Adres addressed. Sparda nodded and layed down. Adres closed the rooms door. But sparda couldn't sleep. Too much happened in that day and he was wired. So much to comprehend. Not in a bad way though to be sure. He felt complete. His dreams were working out the way he wanted. And he was away from the ones he hated almost his whole life. But he missed Jilhama, His sister. He was happy for her to live her dream of being a priestess. He wondered now on wich wayshrine she would be travelling to. Its been almost two weeks since he had departed. He sat up in the dark room. He couldn't sleep on his day of freedom. Of living how he wanted to for many years. He rolled his right hand around for a few minuts consintrating on light and soon enough a lighted sphere glew bright in the palm of his hand shedding light into the room.

He looked around at the tattered walls and the bent wooded Cupboard. He stood up and walked over and looked curiously at the bottom of the doors. A strap hung from it andglew dimmly. Sparda opened the door and the strap fell to the floor attached was a small bag. And to Spardas suprise a small alchemical kit with a small bundle of ingredients fell ontop of the bag. Clearly a wizard or some Alchemist stayed in this room before Sparda. Sparda picked up the black valvet bag and put the kit and ingredients inside it and then pulled out a small journal. It had only one page of writing, clearly the wizard wasn't much of a writer. And it appears that the date recorded back thirty years ago. Sparda read it with interest. He was suprised to see that the one page described the bag as an enchanted alchemy bag. Capable of making more ingredients by only having atleast one placed in. After a full day, to say if you were to place a void salt and some comeberry inside it it would make considerable amounts of both.

Sparda looked at the last sentence of the page. A bigger suprise. "May the next user of this bag use it well." This ment the last person wouldn't be coming back for it. Well with such a coincidence Sparda wanted to focus his studies in Alchemical and spellogical terms. It would be foolish to pass something even like this by. He placed the bag on the edge of the bed andhe lay back down. He hoped the next day was just as exciting, then he fell asleep.

Long awaited Suprise

The night went by quickly. For once Sparda slept soundly, no dreams, no visions. It was relaxing for him, to be away from worry and frustration. All was peacefull while he slept until Adres gave a rude awakening with a tense shacking of Sparda' shoulder. Sparda opened his eyes and quickly sat up. "Hurry and get ready. We have a long walk ahead of us." Sparda got to his feet and pulled the strapped bag over his shoulder. the strap slanting one side at the base of his neck and the bag down on the opposite side on his waist. Adres quickly walked out of the room and out of the inn. Sparda shook his head to fix his hair and trailed after his grandfather. It was a quiet walk. Sparda kept track of the suns position in the sky. He knew that they left about an hour after dawn and the sun was already halfway up the sky.

They had been traveling for about six hours. Sparda sighted that adres was looking at some kind of map. he would look down at it and look back up. He was looking for some kind of landmark. Sparda quickened his pace and walked along side Adres. "So, saint Nerevars tomb?" he asked glancing at the map. Adres looked back up and stopped. "Yes. Its rumored he was buried here in the Grazelands." He then stopped his head, his eyes fixed in place and a smile appeared. "And we have found it." Sparda looked in the same direction. There on the side of a hill hung a wooden door. Sparda smirked, and both him and Adres started out in a run. As they came a few feet from the Door the two slowed to a halt. Adres slowly opened the door revealing a dark tunnel.

Adres watched the darkness and tapped his staff twice and the crystal shined brightly luminating the dark tunnel. Adres moved forward sparda walked behind him. It was a straight shot walk. There were no turns in the tunnel, and soon they came to another door. this one however hanged on its hinges, as if it was opened forcefully. Adres stopped ad a wretched look came about his face. "No!" he whispered gaunting mindlessly at the broken door. He walked quickly using magic to push the door inward. Inside there was an alter and two doused torches on either side. Adres reached the alter and slammed his fist into the marble stone. Sparda' mouth dropped. The rumors, and legend was true. there was indeed a tomb here in the grazelands, But where was the coffin? Who could have discovered the shrine first? He thought for a quick second. It was possible that running outlaws or adventurers could have stumbled upon the tomb. But why take the coffin of lord Indoryl Nerevar?

Adres fell to his knees and was somewhat put into tears. But then laughter sunk threw the sorrow. Sparda didn't knowwhat to say. His mouth wasstill propped open. "I spent almost half my career as a master wizard, seeking this place." He then pointed at ancient scrawlings on the face of the alter. "Lord Indoryl Nerevar, Hero of the Dunmer. Good friend and husband." He read the symbols well. He knew them, makes sence ashe had many years to study the ancient text of the tribes. Adres soon got to his feet and walked back out of the tomb.

As soon as both exited the tunnel Adres took Sparda' hand and placed it once more on the crystal of his staff and they again Recalled. This time they were back in the entry room of Adres' tower. "Now you begin your studies. I will test you every few days. And when I beleive you are ready we wil go forth to the council and the ywill test you and when you pass, And you will pass. You will rise to become a mouth." Adres turned away from sparda and walked twards a strange crystal near the back of the room and as he touched it he disapeared. Sparda then headed back up to his room. When he walked in he was not suprised to see the pile of bookes next to his desk. There were also a number of dwemer instruments and other mechanicle creations that possesed magical power. It was here He would stay for the coming years. Studeing and learning everything he could.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was with no suprise to Gledrian when Adres came in view. He had waited patiently for many hours, or was it days? He had learned quickly that time did not matter in the world of the dead. "Finally you have come." The elder dunmer stood from his seat to great Adres. "It is as you predicted, Grandfather." Adres nodded and took a seat across from Gledian. They sat in silence for minuts at a time. Gledrian had no features or expressions upon his pale ghostly face. "You must tell him. Very soon. She will send them. And when she figures out about Sparda, He will be in danger." Adres glared angrily at Gledrian. "That fletcher will not kill Sparda. He is powerfull. Even more so then you and me. You know this to be true. You have forseen it."

"I have foreseen a fate wich ends in later years Adres. You know He must know of the families history. He must know of her." Adres looked off into the void wich surounded them. "He will know, Before my time ends." Gledrian gave respect to Adres' words. "Then I will lower your fear by saying this. After death do you depart, As mouth He will be ranked, But at the time of your burial will he retain, master wizard of the Telvanni." Adres smiled. He was calmed a bit. For many years he had lived in fear that he wouldn't have found Sparda before he was killed and the secret of the Invetious family would have died out. "There is one other thing Gledrian, He is also like you. He has visions." Gledrian twiched at this news but he was not suprised.

"So My calculations of generation of kin was right. What of his sister?" Adres shrugged. "I do not know, All I know is she has become a priestess and will take her place within Amelexias court." Gledrian smiled. "Also I have forseen. Sparda will use his sister. Beyond that I can not tell. My time of seeing has long gone. They are but whispers in the wind to me now. But Adres, you must tell him." Adres nodded and stood up from his seat. "I shall join you soon." With the last remark Adres walked back the way he came and soon arrived back into the tower. He made his way up to Sparda' chamber to see Sparda already threw five books and sleeping. He then noticed a very curious red journal lay on his bed. Adres picked it up and read it.

The first page was notes on the bag Sparda had found back in Vos. The next page was of that day. The finding Of Nerevars tomb, but with no coffin or body. Adres smiled and set the book back down. "Yes, you shall carry on the legacy of your forefathers. May your journy threw Tamriel lead you to a good passing." He whispered then he headed out of the room to his own chambers.

A life for a rank, or future

Dived into the books and the masterign of spells and alchemy. It seemed as though Sparda spent countless months preparing for his test of the council. He became more intuned with the Magicka streams. A year exactly had passed, and Sparda grew wiser each passing day. Most days he was confinded in the tower to study and practice the use of certain spells, and mastered the fundementals of Destruction, alteration and Mysticism. Other days he would spend out on the feild with other apprintaces at dwemer sites and tombs. Lesser of his tasks was to help the Telvanni set up bases around Vvardenfell. Either by attacking another great house or defending a site from an attack of another great house.

All in all he had learned all that he could, and all Adres could teach him. He would soon be ready to face the council. After a long night of rest Sparda was the first to wake up. It was near day break as he sat on the top terrace of the tower, outside Adres' study. He watched the sun rise over Red mountain untill it was too bright to look. He then stared down at the smal village of Tel Arhun. It was beynd his thinking of how they could fit a village on a small island with a tower that took up most of the space. But it was strange in any way how the Telvanni made there towers. With the combination of powerful soulgems and crystals, they were able to creat plant like structures. Soon Sparda turned his head as the door to Adres' study creaked open and his Grandfather emerged from the candel light room. "You are ready to go then?" He asked with his voice trembeling. Sparda nodded and raised a brow to the trembelness within Adres' voice.

"Are you alright?" Sparda asked in curiousity. Adres stood tall then bent over placing his hand on his back. "Yes dear boy. It seems old age has finally caught up to me." He lied and he knew Sparda did not beleive that little bit. Adres sighed and then walked to Sparda' side. "No, There is soemthign I need to tell you." Sparda stared at Adres with a confused gaze. "You need to know what our family is. I don't blame you if you don't understand, but its the truth. Our family was founded by the marriage of a priestess and a wizard. Their love was unbreakable, or so My Great grandfather thought." Adres took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "They lived hapily and had a son, My fathers' father.. Then later they had 7 more children, They of wich I do not know and have no contact with. But secretly The priestess hated wizards and the magicka they used. It was considered blasphemis and a challenge to the temple. And soo in her hatred she Divorised her husband, who Fortunately took my father with him."

Tears began to form in his eyes. And Sparda wanted to stop him from ranting his tale but with his version told to him of the family history Only Adres was the wizard of the family. Adres wiped his eyes then started again. "Well with her rules of the family she was afraid of our bloodlien to be mixed with telvanni wemon, and not with hgih Priests or priestesses of the temple. So in her hatred and want of a clean bloodline she sent assassins to Kill Gledian, My great Grandfather. But before his death He wrote down a journal of calculations of another born male of the family. And he also had the gift of foresight. He saw you in visions. Visions that led me to you." Sparda' mouth opened as his jaw dropped. This new tale of his family shocked him. But he couldn't tell Adres he was lying, He new there was truth in his words. He wanted to beleive the truth, he hated the rest of the family that had treated him like a Guar his whole life.

"This is all I can tell you, The rest will come to you in time. You are indeed a reincarnation of Gledian. You have his face, more his power combined with yours. But I will say this. Today I meet my end. We can not avoid it, I forbid you to avoid it. Kill my attackers after I have passed but don't stop my death. Im old and tired of running. But you... You will bring justice to our family name. Invetious wasn't her name after all. It was not and never will be her right." Adres turned around and opened his study door and puled out a cloth bag and pulled from it, the strange time tracking machine. "This is of dwemer origin. It was my first finding whe nI became a wizard. It is a facinating artifact. See the sun and the two moons. How they circle around on the brass sculpture." He handed it to Sparda who took it slowly and gazed at it. "And a little trick you will find handy. If you turn this little nob here on the bottom. Well you will find out. It will come in handy." He shut the door after grabing his staff and quickly shoving a peice of perchment in his bag. "Now we must go the Council awaits." Sparda nodded and placed his hand on the crystal and soon they had transported to the council meetign room.

It was no different then it was when Sparda first arrived. The same round wooden table with the many chairs that not even the council can take up. This time though the council was not sitting they were standign infront of a door on the right end of the room. "Ah there you are. Finally we can get started. Adres pushed Sparda over to stand in the middle of the group. "Well I hope you are ready Sparda. Your test today will decide your future. Are you ready?" Vedrian asked with a grim look on his face. "Yes I am. What test will I be taking?" Vedrian smiled. "Why its a duel." Sparda' eyes widened. "Against me." Sparda now felt the dark color of his skin go pale and his heart stopped and fell into his stmach. "You will do Fine Sparda. You will!" Sparda shook off his expression and soon Vedrian opened the door and lead Sparda inside. The rest of the council followed closely behind.

Sparda was suprised to find an Arena inside the Council chambers. But the building was too small and this didn't show outside. sparda suddenly knew where the ywere. "This is an arcane room?" Vedrian walked down the few steps into the small fighting circle. "Yes. And you have pased your first test. And remarkably fast I might add. Most apprintices Don't even notice this room could never fit." Sparda was releived. These magical rooms facinated him so much. He had never stepped foot inside one but in his readings he imagined they could be anything. "Well are you going to just stand there Gauking at the place or are you going to let the test proceed?" Sparda snapped back to reality and walked down to the dueling circle.

Sparda stood aross from adres and flicked his fingers creating sparks, waiting for the rest of the council to enter the room. As soon as they all took their places outside the dueling circle Vedrian tossed his staff to the side. "Be prepared to use any means to beat me. Don't worry, the magicks of the room keep us from being scorched, or otherwise baddly injured. You will feel pain however. This test is graded on how well your form is, and how powerful your spells are. It is also a regular duel so when you best me, well you win." Adres folded his sleeves exposing his hands and set up his form. He had his own made up. It was best for Defence, using the enemies spells most likely against them. He took his left leg and moved it forward bending down and placing his hands forward in a ready to cast formation.

Sparda cleared his head of the amazement of the room and focused on the fight. He knew this stance of his opponent. It was just like what Adres had told him. Sparda braught his right leg and bent it behind his left and raised his hand above him in a up stabbing way. He stood there watching Vedrian. He had no Idea what to expect. He played spells threw his head, would he start out with a fire spell or maybe a mixture of shock and frost. "Then I shall start!" Vedrian smirked and his fingers started to crackel with electricity and he pulled back his hands and violently shoved them forward making lightning shoot out at sparda. Sparda pulled his hands and through them forward shooting out a wall of arcane energy blocking the spell. the lightly purple sheild glew brightly as it was hit. The blue electricity flashed yellow and orange when the spells collided.

With spardas position with his hands now knifed out in front he was able to cast out a cold sphere and through it at Vedrian. The wizard smirked as the ball of chilling ice sped twards him and weaved his hands together and apart. As the frostbolt reach the position he flicked a finger and it sped back twards sparda. the spell reflect was to fast for hi to react but he had time to move to the side and the bolt hit the wall behind him. "Your stance is solid, but your spells lack creativity. When you cast, do so like your dancing." Vedrian yelled out and he preformed a number of hand motions and braught his hands to his right side and quickly spined left giving his hands momentun in cast his next spell which was another Shock. Sparda motioned his hands once more and did as adres previously did reflecting the lightning back the other way. But thats not all sparda did after the lightning was sent back have motioned in a spin weaving his hands forming a sphere of green light and sparking energy.

Soon as he came back around he through the sphere after the lightning. Vedrian didn't see the second spell as he swept the shock to the side and turned his to see it hit him in the chest. The pain was minimul but it lasted. He couldn't move either. Sparda walked forward suprised that the spell actually worked. "Well you can't be defensive if you can't move anything." Vedrian sighed. "Well You know what to do then sparda. "Sparda reached out his hand to touch Adres' shoulder. Spikes of electricity leaped from finger to finger. He was just a touch away of winning but the unexpected happened. Adres moved to the side quickly and shot out a fierce fireball that knocked sparda back hitting the floor. "You pass, but you failed at being prepared. Outside, you will encounter men who will want to kill you when you get into shrines or maybe come across rogue mages. You can not hesitate to use anything and everything to make sure they don't have chance to hit you. You pass because the spell you used. You paralyzed me, and at the same time I was dieing. But as now as you learned there are powerfull people that can resist that and become more powerfull. You must expect the unexpected. What you do not know can kill you."

Vedrian helped Sparda to his feet. "Your spells are indeed powerfull. The position of mouth I could make..." Vedrian was interupted with the loud bangs of spells in the council room. He turned around and fear flashed about his face. Sparda quickly approached the door and opened it to see a Dark Brotherhood assassin making his killing stroke on Adres. "NO!" sparda shouted out as the assassins dagger fell Adres to the ground. Sparda rushed his right hand forward as a bright white light formed as a sphere and sent speeding twards the Assassin. Soon it hit and the room glew and the sounds of electricity and the assassins screams echoed off the walls. As the light fades there was nothing left of the assassin but ashes on the ground and peices of his armor and his dagger. Sparda rushed to Adres' side. He was dead, With a slashing wound at his throat and bad stabs at his chest. The council stood behind all with saddened faces. Vedrian slowly approached Sparda and placed his hand on his shoulder.

"He knew this was going to happen." Sparda said trembeling. Tears ran down his face. He knew who to blame, It was Viandra. The one who had started it all. Rage filled him up. It was like he would explode any second. "Well this really pushes the council' decision for your future. A master has fallen, and you'r still an apprintice." He looked back at the other council men and wemon. They all nodded in aproval of what he was getting at. Vedrian smiled forcefully. "By the decision of the council, You Sparda Invetious, are now a wizard of the Telvanni. And on Behalf of my decision. You are now o nthe council." Vedrian took a last look at Adres'corpse and turned away to leave the room. "I will set up a funeral. He will be buried along with his father. I am sorry Sparda."

That night Sparda stayed at the Gateway Inn. His sleep was restless. But he Did not grieve for Adres' death, but hated his family even more. He wanted to end it. with what Adres said, He would be next. There was not one doubt in his mind. He tried not to think about the family. He had responsibilities as a wizard now. He fell asleep, Unknown to the future he would have.

Present Time

Darkness wrapped around Sparda as he stood there. A domain of swiriing vortex' and an unendable void. Sparda stepped forward his robes glimmering white from the light of the crystal upon his staff. His silver hair was naturally hung lengthened to his shoulders and his scruffy beard shone brightly in streacks like highlights. His bright red eyes twinkeled dimmly. There was only a blank emotionless expression about his face as he walked forward through the void. A distant lightgrew bigger as he came closer. Soon he could see corprus beasts and a God like being. They stood there as the golden masked figure hovered in the air and soon they were confronted by a robed figure. After the appearence everything went bright and Sparda opened his eyes.

He leaned against his staff looking around the metalic room he stoond in. There were many Dwemer artifacts scattered over the floor and tables. He turned his head to the sound of steel doors creaking open. Screaming as the old bolts that hung the doors grinded against the loops they were pounded into. A yound slim Dunmer walked in with a set of old faded schematics. Sparda smiled and turned his body and walked to the approaching man. "You were right master. The yare schematics of some kind of arial ship." Sparda held out his hand as his apprintace handed them out. He looked at them seeing the designs of some kind of engine that was powered by electricity and then a ballon like bubble that held the ship. Maybe it was air filled? Either way it was a discovery and the mages guild haddent picked it up. "This will make the council glad indeed. They were begining to wonder if these existed."

"Well since they do, atleast the council gives up the possesion of the schematics." The young man smiled. Saprda handed them back over and then reached into his black bag and pulled out his ebony pipe and some tobacco shovign the leaves int othe pipe and lighting it with his thumb. He poped the mouth piece in his mouth and took a puff of the smoke and began making rings. "Well lets get cleaned up and move back to the tower. I will bring the schematics to the council tomarrow." Sparda quickly turned his head to the sound of dings upon the table to his left. There lay the Time monitor. He walked over and picked up his journal and opened it to the latest entry. He smiled. "Well Im going to have to leave you to do the cleaning Dervan. I have a meeting with a friend and I must attend." Dervan nodded respectfully. "It shoudln't be too hard. I can use the Recall crystal to come back and forth from the tower." Sparda chuckled. "You do learn well." He placed his journal inside his bag and with a pat on his Aprrintices should he tapped his staf on the metalic floow and soon disappeared from the ruins and appearing in another tower.

"You never seem to disapoint me my old friend." An old voice came from behind Sparda. He turned around with a smirk and pointed to the deadric armored Dunmer. "You wouldn't be here with out me. My old friend." The yboth smiled. "Dvyth how goes yoru daughters?" the two walked to a smal ltable wich held cups and a pot of tea. The yboth sat down with Dvyth poured the tea in both cups. "They are well. Ferna has a good heart. Helping the Corprusadium and its patients. The others have been helpfull with my experiments." Sparda took a sip of his tea and nodded. "Do the yget out often. Outside the tower that is. Meet people." Dvyth laughed. "Oh of course they do. And everytime its the same thing. Hi Father, Got your things. I say, What no Men? They answer. No father, They are all too skinny." Sparda chuckled. "They will find themselvs soem men. All wemon do. Doesn't matter how the yare born."

Speaking of children house that Apprintace of yours, whats his name.. um.. Oh yes Dervan?" Sparda took another sip of his tea and wiped his mouth. "He does well. Very smart. He loves it whe nwe go to the Dwemer ruins. He's more of a philosepher the na wizard I must say. Don't get me wrong I love the boy like a son. But he could practice those spells. He has however made a spell that can multiply summons. He can summon a scamp use the spell and then there are four more." Dvyth smiled. "And how did that work out?" Sparda made a dull but funny expression on his face. "It's a disaster, they keep multiplying and then making trouble in the tower." They both laughed. Then Sparda got a serious face and poured more tea in his cup. Now, You had met the so called Nerevarine?" Dvyth pulled his cup away from his face. "Well Imet a patient who said he was the nerevarine. It was strange. The potion actually worked on him! It kills my other patients." Sparda grunted. "Well it seems he is the Nerevarine. I went to the Urshilaku camp a few days back before we took the ruins job. He has been fullfilling the prophecy step by step."

Dvyth placed his cp on the table and leaned back in his chair. "It seems then the blight could beover in a few weeks or a month then." Sparda also leaned back and crossed his arms. "My friend, I have hasd a vision again. It is the same as last weeks. Dagoth and the Nerevarine were fighting and I was there. Well last week it was me with the Ghost gate defence helping the Nerevarine get to the citidel." Dvyth rubbed his chin. "Maybe your supposed too?" sparda sighed. "No, it makes since maybe Azura is tellign you something. Maybe you are supposed to help the Nerevarine. Help end the blight. Destroy the sixth house!" Sparda flicked his fingers making flames on his fingers. "Maybe it's true. But my friend maybe they are false visions?" Sparda wanted to deny his visions, He knew with the amulet he had been given many years ago by his Grandfather only allowed true visions to be seen.

"Sparda I know the amulet doesn't allow false visions. You know this too." Sparda knew it well. He sighed. "Yo uare wise Dvyth. I am glad to have a friend liek you." He turned his head looking at another time watcher in Dvyth' office. "And I must get going. My apprintace should be done bringing everythign back to the tower." They both stood and Dvyth gave Sparda a handshake and a shoulder pat. "Live well my friend." Sparda nodded and tapped his staff twice and soon he appeared in his tower.
