Folks,

I remember using a mod in Oblivion (possibly Morrowind) that allowed me to place a new map marker at my current location as well as give it a custom name, and, I believe, designate which icon type to show. Is such a thing possible with FO3/NV? I have (and like) More Map Markers, but it would be immensely helpful to be able to place a custom marker from time to time.

Examples: unmarked points of interest (though there are a lot less in NV than FO3), reminders of stored loot locations, incompletely explored dungeons

Would like to know if this is possible/being worked on, or, if not, a vague idea why it can't be done.

OK, I think I found the Oblivion mod:

I see that this requires OBSE for Oblivion, so I imagine I'll have to wait for NVSE for this one. Just curious if this is on anyone's radar, as I didn't find a comparable mod on the FO3 nexus.

Now that NVSE is out, I wanted to bump this up to see if this mod was possible/in the works. I do not know enough about modding/scripting to know if the current NVSE contains the necessary tools for this mod, so if it doesn't, that's an OK answer, too.

In order to name the markers, script variables would be required. At the moment, script variables aren't part of NVSE, so this mod wouldn't be possible just yet. I don't believe there's anything else that's required, but I'm not positive.
