Question about Morrowind script extendor MWSE

Post » Sat Aug 28, 2010 5:58 am

I installed it to use the 100% hit rate combat mod.

Just wondering where I install it to? Is the morrowind folder adequate? (before data files)

As long as its installed there should all mod that require it work ok?

If you use MGE, you could probably just use the internal MWSE that comes with it.
Might be worth checking at least.

From the readme:
It will work regardless of which directory it is installed into.

So you can install it anywhere, you just have to have the program running while you play. Personally, I just put it into a MWSE folder inside the Morrowind folder. Same one as the Morrowind exe.

Logorouge is right, MGE has MWSE bundled inside it. It's easier to deal with, in my opinion, and gives additional options. But that's if you use MGE.

no my laptop struggles to churn out the default top draw distance.

is cool though I got it working.. do I always have to start the game from the MWSE interface now? (in order to run programs which require it)

You do not need to use Distant Land with MGE. It is OPTIONAL.
You can just have MGE installed (basically doing nothing to the game,) but you can use it's MWSE capabilities.

I like what MGE does to the water too. But it depends on preferences I suppose.

Water is nice with MGE only if there is distant land enabled, or am I wrong?

I never used MGE without distant land so I can't say if it works without it.
If I had performance issues, I would rather reduce my distant land to very close range rather than go back to vanilla.

Even small distance of Distant land made my laptop burn, dunno why tho. Then I disabled distand land and water was just as is Vanilla's.

If you're playing on a weak laptop, you have no choice but to turn off DL.
But that's where the FPS Opt. comes in handy. ;)

Anyway to disable the background blurring when you push escape with FPS optimiser.. small gripe but quite annoying.
