you should really fix the moding on fallout!!! it require to much time and its hard you should use some time to inprove it! look at far cry's moding and try to make it that easy, and even more better so we could make fallout 3 continue our self! easy making a quest or a hole new wasteland and story on some months if u put ur mind into it! SON OF ATOM! :nuke:

There is a steep learning curve to the GECK, but it is also enormously powerful. It may not be simplistic for anyone on earth to use, that's the trade-off. It's really more of an Advanced game editor, the same one that Bethesda level designers and quest makers used to build Fallout3. So in this case we got the actual game editor that Beth uses (minus some features), while Far Cry's modding was specifically built as a game-feature for anyone to use. There is a Huge difference between the two.

With the GECK we can do just about Anything imaginable to the game, but it is not for the meek of heart.

IMO making it easier to use would limit its capabilities.

There's a big difference between Far Cry's map builder and the full blown editor that is the GECK.

The GECK was never intended to be an easy to use tool, as pointed out it is basically the same one used by the games creators, minus a few bolt on programs that they'd licensed.

I think it's not so much making it easier as actually explaining it better. A more in-depth tutorial would go a long way. The geck wiki is great, but it's not really very didactic. There are tons of stuff that isn't really explained there, and you have to scrounge around for hours just to know what an editing tab actually is or does.
