Angel

"I'm fine." Angel said sitting up and talking too fast. "The arrow was poisoned is all. Nightshade I think," and then more emphatically, "yes; nightshade and one other ingredient. It could have been stinkhorn but I'm not sure. I have a sample in my organizer but the processed substance is nothing like the raw ingredient. They can be cooked in a way that makes them safe and they are quite good as.. a garnishment... on ...." Leaning to one side, Angel's body convulsed as she threw up.

Her mind now clear, the nausea subsided and Angel looked around. "Belland!" Angel quickly rose to her feet to run a wobbly course to her one time defender. Drawing a vial from her organizer, she said "drink this; it helps restore lost blood." From there Angel proceeded to place her hand on each wound casting a spell of sparkles and smoke. Seeing Belland had taken the potion she smiled and added "I wouldn't try to stand up too quickly. That potion has a mead based pain reliever. My own invention. Did you know you had a dislocated finger? I fixed that too."

Rasien Arnoal

As Rasien paced in his study, he couldn't help but be annoyed by the constant screeching of the creature near him. Honestly, how was he supposed to be able to collect his thoughts while that racket was going on. So many problems. I think Berich may have finally lost it. Rebelling against the Empire, seeking out this girl, wanting to use the artifact, it's all ludicrous. We don't need any of it to accomplish our goals. He's letting his arrogance, his own belief in myths and legends get in the way of common sense. Oh well, there's nothing I can do but obey his orders. I've been with him so long, I might as well see it through till the end.

He ran a hand through his almost nonexistent, dirty, gray hair as he waited for his assistants to return with the souls he needed. He could have simply commissioned the Protectorate to do it for him, but he had no faith in such blunt and meaningless methods. Just mindless killing, no thought, no consideration, just blind obedience and loyalty. The Research and Development department however was far smarter then that, and he supposed he had to thank Claudius to some extent for that. After all, he allowed me to handpick all of my assistants, and without even asking what I was planning to do. I might be tempted to say he has blind obedience too, but beneath all that polish and the supposed loyalty, he's just as devious and manipulative as Berich is.

He continued to pace and listen to the annoying screeching of his experiment subject until he could take it no more. Finally, in a fit of rage, he flung both hands out and shot a rather large ball of fire at the cage containing it, leaving nothing but melted bars and a pile of ash when it was done. He staggered and leaned against a wall, once again reminded of his age and the limitations it placed on him. His time was coming and he had ignored it for too long. But he had to finish his experiment, it was all that kept him going. He would have to remember to tell one of his assistants to bring back another creature the next time they raided one of their villages.

Joran Were-Bane

As Joran slowly climbed the ramp to the outside world, he couldn't help but smirk. The end was coming. All they had worked for, all their plans were about to come to fruition. How he had longed for the day when Berich would say their plans were finished. Though few would realize it, Joran was a very perceptive and intelligent man. He noticed everything that went on in the city and he had many connections, not to mention he had Berich's absolute trust. Which was exactly why he gave Berich his absolute loyalty. It was a fair trade, and he even became the head of the Intelligence Department, a further perk.

Something still puzzled him though. The girl and the artifact, why would they need them. The Order was already strong enough, they didn't need some little girl to accomplish their goals. A child, aiding us! It's unbelievable. He snorted in derision at the very thought. He would much rather see the child dead if she was really so dangerous and powerful, but Berich had a plan, and who was he to question it.

Malinus Ferus

Malinus climbed the ramp beside Joran, and he was also lost in thought, though about a completely different thing. He was concerned about their mission, their goals. Unlike the others, he had never pledged his loyalty to Berich, he simply did it because of Berich's offer and because the Order interested him. He had no true loyalty to the Order of the Blue Rose, no matter what he might say. And no matter how he might act, he didn't trust or like anyone there, except for Caius.

In his honest opinion, they were all snakes, slithering along until they could strike to accomplish their own goals. It really reminded him far too much of politics, except when you make a mistake in politics, the result isn't usually fatal. No, he wouldn't trust Claudius, Joran, Rasien, and especially Darnmon, the pathetic worm that he was. He wouldn't even trust their "great lord" Berich to not kill him in his sleep. While his job offered plenty of challenge and excitement, he couldn't help but wonder if he was now a sheep in the middle of a pack of wolves.

Damn... she is a resilient little gal, ain't she? Alexander thought as he watched Angel spring back from her poisoned state, and he sat on the ground as she attended to Belland, mouth tightening. And she has an innocent heart... healing that man. She should just let him die...

Alexander reached out, and grabbed the arrow shaft sticking from his right shoulder. Pulling the arrow out with a grimace, he looked at it, seeing a pinprick of blood upon the tip. Dropping it, he parted the torn cloth to see a small puncture in his arm. The small links of Mithril had managed to withstand the brunt of the arrow. It wasn't even worth healing. Sighing, Alexander got to his feet and approached Angel's horse, softly soothing the beast and guiding it towards them.

"It is best we make way to Skingrad, Lady Angel. My magicka recharges swiftly, but I used much of it in the battle. I do not like draining myself to half power."

Angel ruefully regarded her depleted organizer. The last time she had been able to spend time gathering ingredients was her travel to Anvil with Falanu and Elgin. Now the prospect of resupplying at Falanu's shop held special appeal. "I agree. I'm anxious to get there myself."

Mounting her horse, Angel addressed Alexander, "Lead on sir."

Belland rose slowly, he was stiff and sore, magic could numb and heal wounds for the most part, but all wounds took time.
"Lets go" he muttered coldly as he threw himself onto horse and awkwardly sat straight ready to leave.

"Very well." Alexander replied courteously, and began to lead Angel's horse down the road by the reigns he held. He walked at a steady pace, any fatigue from the battle either minute or nonexistent. He had not had a battle for some time, and to have one with such difficulty made him both energetic, and worried. It should have been easier for him. he was growing forgetful, twice forgetting the archer and getting shot because of it. If not for the Mithril beneath his robe, he would have been severely wounded.

I'll have to get that quickly repaired. Who knows what Belland might do while we are in Skingrad. It WAS his domain after all. Alexander mused, worry gripping him further. He did not trust that necromancer in the slightest.

Twice Angel slipped down from her horse to walk and was forced by fatigue to remount. The effects of the poison and antidote had taken a toll and the after effects still lingered. By the time they arrived at Skingrad, it was late afternoon and hunger had begun to replace fatigue as her most pressing need.

"Gentlemen," She called. "I plan to have a venison steak at the West Weald Inn and I invite you to join me. After that I am going to hang a do-not-disturb sign on my door and sleep for a week."

Terror ran like a shock wave through Angel as she tried to struggle against the scaly hand closed over her nose and mouth. Warm breath stirred against her cheek as a gravely voice whispered, "You look like a pocket begging to be picked".

Relaxing, she felt the hand withdraw. "Is that a tail or are you just glad to see me?" she asked.

With a breathy chuckle, Swims-On-Land answered "Yes. I have heard that one before but it is always funny."

In the darkness of her room at the West Weald Inn, the last person in the world Angel would have expected was the very person she most wanted to see. "I won't ask how you got past the people guarding me but I must know; do you have it?"

"No. Stolen by another. I know not of this one but I can tell you he is not Thieves Guild. The beggars saw three black robed figures that morning. They were not dressed as Necromancers. One sat like a begger outside the University. Later he was seen in the Temple district near one of the crypts but investigation revealed no more information. After that the same figure appeared in several places at once. Obviously an illusion of some sort."

Angel mulled over this new information but could not make a connection to anyone she knew. At last she asked the other question she wanted desperately to know. "Is Elgin here in Skingrad? How is Falanu? Are they ok?"

There was a pause as Swims' tried to form his answer in a delicate manner. "There was a disagreement between Elgin and Falanu. He felt he could not stay here so he asked me to keep an eye on Falanu. You should really talk to her if you want to know more. Me, I am happy to pick the pockets of the citizens of Skingrad. It seems the dwellers of the Imperial City have been carrying less gold with them lately. I have no idea why."

Seeing the first light of day hinting at her window, Angel decided to make an early start of it and rose. "I'm sure you know how to get back out without being seen but please don't be a stranger. If I am still here tonight, I would love to have the pleasure of your company at dinner."

Swims' stepped back into the shadows and disappeared.

In the West Weald Inn, four figures sat at a round, oak table. They wore blue cloaks and hoods, masking their faces from sight, though it was mostly unneeded, as they sat in a dark corner of the main lobby. They conversed in whispers, watching all who entered at the same time. One of them raised a hand to stroke a growing beard, an act that went unnoticed in the dark.

"Interesting, very interesting," he whispered to himself. "Dracus, go back to Gardenhall and inform our dear friend Claudius that his guests have arrived."

"Claudius sir, not Berich?" the still shrouded Imperial asked.

All he got in response was a nod, but he did not question this. Instead, he rose from the table and activated an invisibility spell as he exited the inn. The man that had given the order leaned back in his chair and continued to scan the room with his bright, emerald eyes. Things are about to get very interesting. Oh, I bet Malinus would just double over in laughter if he heard I disobeyed a direct order from Berich. I've been spending too much time with him, he must be rubbing off on me. Still covered by the shadows, the man named Caius began to smirk.

Alexander had enjoyed the meal with Angel, but after the meal it had been back to business, and he stood outside her door as guard. He was unaware of Swims-On-Land's arrival, until Angel began speaking. And then an Argonian voice joined in. Alexander turned around, cracking his neck as he did so. The crack came along with a glow of violet in his eyes, and he stared at two, not one, blobs of life in the room. He saw no acts of aggression from the intruder, and so allowed them to continue talking.

However, when Angel seemed finished, and the second cloud of life sought to leave, Alexander tapped the lock on the room door. The surge of magic forced the tumblers in place and it opened, the Battlemage striding in with a business-like air, and reaching into the shadows. His eyes still glowed that misty violet, and he clearly made out the Argonian's form, grabbing him by the arm before he could escape.

"If you don't mind, sir, I wish to speak with you further. On the matter of the one responsible for the theft in the University." He spoke with amazing gentlemanly air, considering he was forcing the Argonian to remain in place, and currently looked like a purple-eyed demon-man. "Don't worry, everything you say will not go on the investigation records, so secrecy will be upheld."

"Certainly." Swims' answered. "But first I should admonish you to be more careful with your possessions." Swims' handed Alexander the pouch of Septims he has just removed from the Battlemage's belt. "After all," he continued, "We are both brothers in the Mages Guild."

Swims-On-Land reprised his earlier report on what he had learned, leaving nothing out. The occasional slight nod from Angel assuring him it was alright.

"It appears we have a very mysterious thief. Maybe a smuggler or dealer in Dwemer artifacts." Angel concluded. "One thing is for certain; it was not someone from the Thieves Guild. Swims', would it be possible to find out the names of anyone currently dealing in Dwemer artifacts?"

The Argonian considered for a long minute before answering, "There is a male, a Dunmer, that collects such things. He does not sell them because there is usually some irregularity in the way they were acquired and transported from Morrowind. He knows a great deal about the Dwemer. Perhaps we could ask him. If you were to show him the Egg, I'm sure he would be most willing to talk to us."

OOC: This weekend, I will be gone on a Fencing tournament. You may control Alexander, but I would prefer Siras be left alone for now.

Alexander balked, and snatched the gold pouch back quickly. He calmed himself when he heard Swims-On-Land was Mages Guild, however, and calmly listened to the report.

"I don't think this is a smuggler." Alexander mused, putting one hand to his chin. "What you have told me confirms what the Mages Guild figured. One of the men was outside the University during the theft. Reports claim this same man went into a crypt, and when we tried to confront him, there were a multitude of illusions of him, but he was nowhere to be found. We can only presume the second man was responsible for the possession and control of the Arch-Mage's hand maiden. I've fought many a bandit and the occasional smuggler; this is too well thought out, too elaborate, and too risky for a smuggler to attempt, unless he's got the largest set in the south." Alexander grinned at this joking remark.
--------------------
A thin, frail man entered Skingrad through the grand doors, his cloak gently swaying around his form in the morning light. He was tall, lean, and clad in satin black. When he walked, his steps were whispers, either because of his weight, or his skills.

Siras rarely ever went into town, but he made a point to do so at least once a week, to build mild reputation with the locals, and help ease suspicion as to his true nature. For now, the people of Skingrad knew him to be a hermit, living alone in a cottage south of the Imperial Reserve. There was even a cottage there, that Siras occasionally resided in but was otherwise desolate. People simply assumed the hermit alchemist was off studying wild plants.

Even with this alibi, however, Siras drew stares and people were fearful of him. No matter what he said or did, the fact remained he looked like a fleshy skeleton, and dressed entirely in black. He would always be a social outcast for these qualities. But Siras didn't care as he walked down the streets; no, he did not acknowledge the stares. Social interaction was not a pastime for the necromancer, but a chore.

A bell rang as the skeletal thin Breton opened the door to the only Alchemical shop in town, and lowered his hood. Falanu Hlaalu grinned when she saw the face of one of her more reliable customers.

"Ah, Siras. How are you this week?" Falanu asked as the man approached the counter, and Siras did not return the smile, or even quirk his lips. The face remained forever neutral.

"Not bad, though I have been running low on a few ingredients that are hard to find in this area." He told her flatly, his voice only slightly varying in pitch as he spoke.

"Well, maybe I can help with that." Falanu replied, and she bent down in front of her to open a drawer. "What does my lovely Breton Alchemist require?" It was probably for the better that Siras never discovered -yet- Falanu's perversion; his skeletal appearance made her amazingly kind towards him. Siras did not support necrophilia as he viewed it to be not the use of the dead to aid the living, like necromancy, but the abuse of the dead for the pleasures of the living, a crime many necromancers commit in the summoning of vast amounts of minions in caverns simply because they could.

"I have run low on Aloe vera, Bog Beacon Asco, Dragon Tongue, Flax Seed, Stinkhorn, and Nightshade." Siras listed off, and Falanu pulled out the more common of these listed, setting them on the counter before grabbing a key.

"I see you have been experimenting with your poisons in your hunting, huh?" She asked, as she moved towards the basemant where she stored her rarer ingredients.

Angel and Alexander arrived at Falanu's shop in time to see the spectacle as Falanu worked at being friendly with the hideously thin man at the counter. No doubt he would take it for attraction. The thought almost brought a giggle as Angel speculated about the condition which caused the man to be so thin. For his own part, he made no attempt to acknowledge their presence and Angel took this as a sign that, for whatever reason, he did not wish to talk.

At last, Falanu went to the cellar for some ingredients and Angel followed. "Do you mind if I raid your supplies?" Angel asked. In the past Angel had given Falanu her excess ingredients after the conclusion of selling her potions and had effectively supplied Falanu with thousands of seeds, leaves, roots and others items; for free.

"Of course not." Falanu responded appearing to act casually but with body language that was tense.

"What is it?" Angel asked. "Is it Elgin?"

With a sigh, Falanu said "We had a bit of a spat after he spilled everything he knew about you to a man who was obviously seeking to kidnap you or maybe worse." After a pause, Falanu added, "I admit, the man had a sword held to my throat at the time and maybe I was a bit hasty in blaming Elgin."

"I'm so sorry." Angel said. "I've brought trouble with me everywhere I go since this whole thing started. Whoever it was, they haven't done me any harm yet and I am well protected. Please don't let me be the cause of trouble between you and Elgin. I know he has deep feelings for you and I suspect you have the same for him."

"It isn't you, Angel." Falanu answered. "It's me. I still feel as though I should be faithful to my husband even though he is dead. I've been fighting the feelings I have for Elgin but the time has come to admit the truth. I love him. I'm going to write to him today."

Taking her apparatus from it's carrying case, Angel laid out a series of ingredients at a table and began the process of making replacement potions. "I'll make some Mage's-Blessing potions for you while I'm here." she said as Falanu ascended the stairs.

Siras stood calmly and patiently as Falanu went into her basemant, looking at her fireplace without twitching from his position. Two more people entered; a young girl, and a middle-aged man. Perhaps father and daughter. Siras turned to look at them, then turned away again, so he didn't anolyze it too deeply. The girl followed the Dunmeri Alchemist into the basemant, but the man remained.

As the two women were down there, the silence between the men grew. Siras could feel the gaze of the other upon his back, but did not seek to react to it. He refused to even tense a muscle. But in his mind, a spell was ready, just in case things escalated.

Alexander watched the back of the man, anolyzing him. It was quite possible the anolysis could be taken negatively, aggressively, but that was not Alexander's purpose. With his Mithril armor in the smithy and nothing but his spare robe and boiled leather boots on, he wasn't itching for a fight. A Spell fight, maybe, but not really. Unprovoked battle wasn't Alexander's style.

"You come by here often?" Alexander asked, breaking the silence as he walked up to the counter, stood beside the skeletal thin man, and folded his arms behind his back.

"On occasion." The pale Breton replied with disinterest. Alexander turned his head slightly to look at the man. He appeared to be so old, compared to Alexander. But the man's dark, deep black eyes showed to Alexander that there was much more to this man than just his corpse-like paleness. This man was a mystery.

"Do you live by here?" Alexander asked again, hoping to strike up more conversation with the man.

"I live alone, in the cottage southeast of the city." Siras lied, but his voice remained as smooth and flat as ever. His tone would not reveal this false statement. He finally turned his head to regard the man beside him. This man in Mage's Guild robes... he looked to be roughly Siras' age, maybe a decade older. But Siras could feel the powerful magic pulsing within the man; he was a strong mage. Alexander could feel the magic pulsing from Siras as well, and both knew there was immense power in each.

"Mage's Guild, or freelance study?" Alexander inquired. Siras made no expressive reaction to this interrogation.

"Freelance." Siras replied, not even asking how the man surmised magical studies. He turned to face the fireplace once more from across the counter. Alexander watched him as the man looked at the flames. He's very thin under that cloak. Alexander thought, having gotten a glimpse of Siras' form when the man had turned to face him, and the cloak had shifted. All black... cloak, white hair. He does loosely match the general description of the crypt illusionist. But is the Crypt Illusionist even connected to the theft?

Falanu finally came out of the basemant, carrying a small leather bag with the ingredients Siras had requested. She set them on the table and smiled. "Here you are."

"Thank you." Mentally, Siras was relieved for the distraction the Alchemist had provided, a chance to divert his attention elsewhere. Outwardly, he simply set his gold upon the table and put the bag up over his shoulder. As he turned to leave, Alexander reached an arm out and stopped him.

"Do you know anything about the recent University Theft?" Alexander questioned, and Siras looked him eye to eye for a moment.

"No, I do not." Siras replied flatly. Alexander reluctantly let him go, and the cloaked skeleton man left the shop. Alexander continued to stand there, watching the man go.

Something isn't right about that man.

A short way outside the west gate into Skingrad, there was a bright flash of red light. Four figures stumbled out of a group of trees and onto the main road. The leader, dressed in a black robe, was clutching his side as they walked towards the gate. The others, all dressed in blue cloaks, appeared slightly dizzy, but otherwise unharmed. One, a Breton with long, blonde hair, had a strange smile on his face and was wearing a silver longsword on his hip. He would have been quite handsome if not for his eyes, which glimmered with madness. He clutched the hilt of his sword with his right hand as he walked, and looked as if he was just looking for an excuse to draw it.

Another one, an Imperial with brown hair, appeared expressionless and simply gazed at the gate not far away. He was an average man of average height and average weight. Overall, he just looked average, someone you could look at and forget in a few seconds. The only thing that made him stand out was a small scar going diagonally across his right cheek. He had an ornate, silver war axe under his cloak, though unlike Alister's his weapon was not visible. It had many carvings and inscriptions, and looked almost like it was a purely ceremonial weapon.

The final member was another Imperial with raven hair, and he appeared very paranoid. He kept sending nervous glances at his companions, and was obviously uncomfortable around them. He had a single scar on his face, going straight below his eyes and across his nose. He seemed to be the oldest of the group, but if you inspected the others, he also appeared to be the least experienced. Like the Breton, he wore a silver longsword on his hip, but unlike the Breton, it was just a typical weapon, unlike Alister's, which had several inscriptions on the hilt and had an unmarked blade. He wore a pair of black gloves, one of which had a picture of a blue shield engulfed in flames on it. This was the symbol of the Protectorate, the frontline soldiers and fighters of the Order, the ones that both defended Gardenhall under the command of Darnmon, and carried out Berich's orders in the outside world, where they were under the command of Caius.

"Blasted stone. Even after two years of using the thing, it's still painful. Well it's better than the alternative I suppose. Manus, you'll have to remind me to thank Rasien for being so quick to acquire those souls," Claudius said, still clutching his side with a grimace on his face.

The Imperial known as Manus simply rolled his eyes, knowing that the Necromantic researcher would die before thanking his counterpart in Research and Development. He continued to watch the gate, though they weren't close enough for him to be able to pick out any guards.

"So we use souls for our own gain, destroying the lives of those we hate. But when we use those souls, does not a part of our own souls also die with them? For so inhumane it is, eternally erasing something from the world. Does that not make us worse than the things we despise?" the Breton asked, a completely serious expression on his face as he said it.

The others stared at the crazed Breton as if he had grown a second head. Dracus was the first to respond. "Alister, that seemed almost... Profound!"

Alister almost doubled over in laughter as the others still stared at him. "I know right? It must be the skooma still circulating in me. You guys really ought to have seen yourselves. Oh, the look on your faces was hilarious."

Dracus gave him an amused smile while Claudius simply seemed disgusted by him. Manus continued to wear an emotionless expression. As they approached the gate, all four activated invisibility spells and entered the town without anyone noticing.

Carefully, Angel practiced her calligraphy on the labels so that the finished writing, although tiny, described in beautifully decorative letters, the name of each potion and it's anticipated effects. Alexander had joined her and spent the time testing various spells; a few of them causing dust to shake loose from the ceiling, each time spoiling the contents of Angels calcinator. At last she gathered and stowed her apparatus. "I hope you don't practice your spells at home while your wife is cooking." Angel commented.

After cleaning the table and restoring the remaining ingredients to their bins, Angel turned again to Alexander. "There's a small lake outside of the main gate just a short walk north. It's a nice place to spend an afternoon. The water is fed by a warm, underground spring and very relaxing if you can breath underwater. I don't expect Swims' to return before tomorrow morning. Hopefully, the Dunmer can provide more information about the Egg even if he doesn't know about the theft. My sister and I only learned from experimenting but something like the Egg must have been important enough for some record to be made, don't you think?"

OOC

I have an idea I'd like to run by everyone before we hit the end of this thread.

It's traditional to post the whole background and all of the character sheets at the beginning of a new thread. Personally, I find it clogs the first page and can be a source of confusion as all that old material can be get skimmed over and new material gets missed.

I propose that the first post simply include a link to the first page of the last thread which already contains this info. The first post would also include a summary of that original background and events that are significant to the current situation along with a summary of the current characters and companions.

I certainly don't want to short change anyone and if you feel that we need to do the full Monty at the beginning of the next thread, let me know.

OOC: I agree with NillcoJames.

IC: Alexander laughed at the little girl, twisting his hand to look at the golden ring on his finger. "Is it that obvious it's a wedding ring? Most of my associates think it's a simple enchanted one." Lowering his hand he grinned. "But no, I don't. Her cooking is subpar as it is." There was obvious jest in his voice at this. However, there was a hint of worry in his light brown eyes as Angel suggested the lake. The worry wasn't concerning the lake, however. It was concerning that man.

"I see no problem with the lake, it's always good to take a nice swim when stressed." Alexander replied, feeling even more like a bodyguard to the young girl. But he took heart to this feeling, as Angel was not unlike his own daughter; talented, innocent, and determined. That one mental note made Alexander think of his family, of Sameri, and a longing filled his heart. It had been a week since he began his current mission, and he missed her already.

"Actually, I debate as to whether a record was made. The Dwemer may have approached the Egg in the same manner the University did, and hide it, making no record of it purposely. Whatever documentation may exist on it is either destroyed by time or locked away where even pesky adventurers cannot discover it. But there is a chance, if you did, afterall, find the Egg itself."

ooc: and you misspelled my name :meh:

IC: Belland walked down the street without purpose, he was waiting for something but he was not yet sure what. He watched as two men obviously pickled with mead took shots at eachother in front of an inn. He watched the fight for a few moments before a hand touched him on the shoulder and he spun around. He found a dumner man standing there his face the colour of ash and his pale red eyes hinted at a hidden ferocity. The two men appeared to recognize each other and nodded.
"Its ready" the dumner whispered before snapping his fingers and vanishing into thin air.

OOC:

No problem. I will get started on the first post.

IC

Angel noted the reflexive response as Alexander touched his ring. Clearly he was a family man and her sympathy for his assignment was genuine. "I can't tell you how much I appreciate you accompanying me. More than anything, I want to get this over with. That's why I want to at least try to find out what I can from the Dunmer man. The arch Mage told me about the original prophesies but to be honest I don't even remember what he said exactly. One of them said something about how fire melts gold I think but, that doesn't make any sense."

"Well, I'm ready." Angel said and ascended the cellar stairs. Going to Falanu, she gave the merchant a hug and then a wave from the door as she stepped out into the street. "This is where it all started she thought. Just over there is where I hired Vlad after a Necromancer tried to kidnap me. It would have been nice if this completed the circle and ended this trouble but it only seems to get worse with time." With a sigh Angel headed toward the main city gate; taking Alexander's hand the way she used to do with her parents on their walks.

OOC: I think it's just that Bobg hasn't been on in awhile and couldn't post the next thread. Or at least I hope so. I was really enjoying this rp, and I'd hate to see it die now.
