Grass and small bushes.

Hi, I was wondering, are there available meshes of grass and small bushes to use with grass generator? The vanilla ones don't look too well in big masses and they eat up fps pretty much, as far as I know.

Use vurt's groundcover and set the grass density lower at distant static generation so that not as much grass is around (which means you won't see as much of an FPS hit). You will always see some kind of FPS hit when adding something like that to your game, but you can experiment with the grass density and try to strike a good balance between beauty and performance.

That's the best advice anyone can give I'll wager. Vurt's groundcover definitely doesn't have the same issue with looking bad in lumps.

By "vanilla grass", I guess you mean vality's default grass texture that is included with the grass mod by default?

I mean the meshes in Vanilla GOTY (BM meshes look the best, but still in big masses, they look quite out of place).

Are you replacing the grass in a grass mod or are you just looking for... grass that looks good in clumps?

Now I don't understand your question.

Firstly I forgot to mention, that i need this for my own mod landmass, not the goty one.
Secondly answering your question: I took a look at Vurt's groundcover mod. The grass in there is exactly what I am looking for.

Cool. If you place it in a mod as a mesh, you need to realize that it isn't really made for that. The meshes have collision by default since they're only meant to be rendered as "distant statics" in MGE. If you want to use them in your own project, you'll either need to make your own grass .esp for MGE or you're going to need to alter the meshes so they don't have collision (and probably other stuff).

Of course, you'll want vurt's permission too if this is a mod you plan to release.~

Yes, yes, I know about that. :P Thank you, of course! :) When my mod will be more finished, I would contact mr. Vurt. :foodndrink:
