Can we get some clarification on Co-op? And I'd like to plug

Hi all.

I've been watching some of the stuff on Brink and it just keeps getting better and better, but I have a question.

I see "co-op" mentioned. Can we get some details on that? Is it just 2-player in mission maps? Or is 6-8+ player co-op vs AI battles possible?

I ask because I game with about 8-10 people pretty regularly, and it's hard to find anything that does decent co-op. Sure, we like some team VS, and we play TF2.... but it's hard to get and keep a team together on any VS games due to autobalance measures. And most modern games seem to cap co-op to 4 people and "endless waves of bad guys" mode. (CoD: Black Ops and Monday Night Combat both do this). We usually have to go back to something like Killing Floor for 6+ player co-op.

And while I've read the FAQ, I'd like to suggest you all throw in at least ONE female model. Of the 8-10 people I mentioned that I play with regularly, 2 are girls. If you all could do something like "one female model at launch, and more within 30-60 days", it would be much more attractive to some of the gamers out there.

Thanks people!

Yea your friends can jump either onto your side or the enemy if you want to play coop. As for females the devs have good reasons for not having them in sorry,

Like Wraith said, females are not in for very good reasons, and they won't be added Post-Launch.

AWESOME link there Wrath. Thanks.

I'm assuming from page 1 of it, where it says:

- Each mode can be played entirely online 8v8, meaning that your campaign can be played against real people who are playing their version of the campaign against you.
and
- Auto balance will be implemented. If there is only 2 human players on your team, the rest will be filled with bots. Of course, you can disable this feature and have only human players present.

it looks like it might be possible to go 8-player co-op vs AI. If so that will rock, and I can probably sell the idea to the females in the group. =)

Granted, I'm sure they would still love to see some female models... and the video explanation on page 3 of the link is excellent. Can I/we suggest maybe a paid female DLC pack later? I would think the concept of "more money" would help encourage the development of models and animations post-release.

Literally everything about female avatars has been said in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1115738-female-gamers-want-female-characters-yesh-i-read-the-faq/ (which also reached the post-limit).

It's confirmed that you can play 8 player co-op over internet.

Thanks REVOLUZZER. I'll read that thread.

And I finally caught a video (the "Freedom of Movement" one) where they do say it's 8-player co-op capable.

I'm emailing my gaming group about it, and I'll pre-order it today on Steam.

This looks like it's going to be awesome.
