Name: Vardyn Aryon
Race: Dunmer
Gender: Male
Birthsign: The Warrior

Class: Knight of the Ashes of Veloth
Class Description: This small Order of Dunmeri knights was formed by Vardyn himself. Its sole purpose is to uphold the teachings of all Dunmeri saints and the old ways of the Chimer. They are a split faction from the Buoyant Armigers who guard the Ghostgate. They claim to have no ties to the current corrupt Tribunal Temple.

Major Skills: Long Blade, Spear, Block, Alchemy, Restoration

Armor: http://images.elfwood.com/art/s/e/seasm/armor_(good).jpg And a long blood-red cloak.
Weapons: http://sweb.cz/synnaskole/Swords%20of%20Westernesse.jpg The one on the left goes on my back, the other on my hip.

Physical Description: Tall, dark skin, white/gray hair in multiple braids, a tattooed face with Dunmeri symbols.

Age: 69 (looks about 28-30)

Personality: Kind, strong-willed, helpful, and very pious in his prayers. Always willing to help a good cause and despises evil.

History: Vardyn Aryon was born in the Sewers of Vivec, his mother and father were being hunted on accusation of blasphemy towards the Tribunal. His father was a High Ordinator, so they were in good care. When Vardyn was born, he was baptized in the holy waters underneath Vivec, he "Breathed in the waters of life."

The family fled to the safety of Ebonheart, and then they paid off a fisherman to sail them up-coast to Gnisis. From there, they walked into the lands of the Ashlanders. They were taken in, and taken care of. Vardyn was trained by his father and the Ashlanders in all of the noble ways, hunting, fighting, and most importantly, piousness.

At the age of 30, Vardyn's mother and father passed away in their sleep due to the Blight. So he left, taking a gift from the Ashlanders with him, a suit of armor and two swords belonging to a Chimer who was a servant of the Prophet Veloth. Vardyn lived by the ways of a Knight, but he was a just a simple Mercenary at the time.

But one day, he came upon an old temple in the Sea of Ghosts while he was fishing. Inside were shrines; shrines too the old Prophets and tomes upon tomes of their deeds and teachings. It was that day, that the Order of the Ashes of Veloth was formed. Vardyn scoured all over Morrowind, recruiting Dunmer who were noble at heart.

They were all trained, and soon a force of 100 inhabited the island dubbed The Order's Isle. They challenged even the most powerful Ordinators and none could stand against them.

Vardyn heard of the struggle in Cyrodiil, and he and his knights answer the call of the light.

 Tsk, if only I had gotten here sooner. Oh well, it's not too late, I suppose  By the way, a day of no one posting does not make an RP dead. I don't know how they do it in the Fallout section, but here things take time.

First off, the story: The first paragraph is ok, although I don't really see a need for a mysterious land bridge to the island, just have people get there by boat. Also, I don't think Stendarr, if he had the ability to pick and choose who gets in his temple, would let anyone of impure heart in.

Surely there are enough baddies in Tes that you don't have to reffer to one as "a dark lord". How did he build a castle after capturing the Coc, but before the Legion did anything to stop him? How big is this island that you can fit several forts and a castle on it without any skirmishes?

Other than that, the plot is sound, if not really that great. No offense, but it isn't up to snuff.

Anyway, let's move on. Grammar is the number one thing that will make a newb look like a newb. If you use proper vocabulary and grammar, no one will know that you aren't an experienced RPer/writer. I understand that if you speak english as a second language your grammar won't be perfect, but if you don't fix things simply because of laziness or that you are convinced that it doesn't matter, then I can berate you as much as I want :P

I hope everyone knows the rules well enough that they don't need to be posted anymore...

If you are unconfident in your character template, borrow one from another RP or character sheet. I myself always include the following: Name (and Nickname if they have one), Race, Age, Gender, Birthsign, Class, Major and Minor Skills, Armor, Weapons, Clothing, Other Equipment, Physical Description, Hair, Eyes, Personality, and History; generally in that order. I think you have most of that, so your sheet is pretty good, but make sure everyone places a lot of emphasis on history and personality, more-so than what detail they put into skills or equipment. It is much more interesting to have a developed character with a shovel than a flat guy with an obsidian great sword with golden calligraphy spelling out "freedom".

Finally, I'll give you the advice I give to everyone who makes an RP as their first order of business here: please think about taking part in some RPs and looking over other RPs before making your own. Trust me, seeing what a real(ly good) RP is like can help you make your own. I actually have never made an RP, though I am confident I could produce a very good one, and I am very glad that I started out taking part in them rather than by making one.

Thanks for the effort though, and welcome to Tes RPing :goodjob:

PS Good grammar applies to the rest of you as well. Also, an RP made solely of newer members is generally a bad idea. I hold that a higher ratio of good, experienced RPers will make newer ones improve faster than going at it by themselves.

PSS If you need more advice on making an RP, either ask me or consult a thread I did a while back. Feel free to bring it back to life if you'd like, http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1003802&hl= It's short, but it has some good advice, I'd say. Also, if you haven't already, everyone here should look at Illusionary's guide to RPing at the top of the forum.

So what I'm not an expert Rper, I am not bad, and its a roleplay, I made it up, it can be anything I want it to be.

But thank you for the advice on the character template, this is my first TES roleplay, if you would read my first roleplay I made in FFF "Sigma Squad" then you might change your opinion about me.

and the island is fairly large, but the land bridge is neccesary, all will be explained in the RP, I just need it to start first.

Jonas, you are most definetly accepted, and thank you for adding in your army of knights, i think of doing something like that, I love Rangers, so my character will probably be one, leading a comapny of them.

Thank you :D

And I've always wanted to command a [censored] army of Dunmeri knights. Well its technically not really an 'army' but a large group nonetheless.

That made me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside :touched: Thanks Shadow.

I don't expect you to be an expert RPer; I certainly am not. I hope I never said explicitly that you were bad, although looking back at my post I realize I was a little harsh. Sorry about that, and I know that it can be anything you want, but roleplays (unlike fan fics) are not made for the creator, but for the players. The whole point of an RP is to let the players have fun, and if the host gets a kick out of it then it is just an added bonus :)

You are very welcome, but I must say that many people don't consider Fallout RPs as good credentials. I try to be open minded, but in truth I am just as biased as everyone else here.

The bridge isn't a big deal, but if you have a real purpose for it then that is fine. Let me guess, is it going to collapse and everyone be stuck on the island?

Oh, good job by the way not starting yet. Three is far too few.

Thanks though, and keep it up :goodjob:

PS If you still need help with the character sheet thing, look at ImmortalBlood's reviving RP. I see some good sheets over there, and if I were you I would try to get in on that one.

EDIT: Yes, I gathered that. Land bridges can still collapse. Oh, and that was an ice bridge, I believe :)
