Moving An Esp

Post » Tue Aug 31, 2010 8:16 am

Hello all.
I've recently purchased a new computer, and was working on a Plugin file on my old machine. I've searched forums in several locations, and tried a few methods of my own, none of which yielded any success... does anyone know of any way to transfer .esp files among machines?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

What operating system, and where did you install the Game and Geck? (on the old machine)

If you did not use any special meshes or textures or sounds or ect, then you only need to copy the ESP to the new computer and your done.

The ESP file is 'usually' stored in the \Fallout 3\Data\ folder path unless you had Vista or Win7, and you installed the game in the default program files location. Then you have to click on the 'Compatibility files' button when viewing your 'Data' folder.

I was running Vista on the old machine, and Seven on the new one. Thank you so much... I really didn't want to lose all of that work. I've been working on it in my spare time between school and work for the better part of a year.
I can't believe it was that simple... Lol.
