Megaton Home : Fallout 3

Hey everyone. First off, I have the XBOX 360 version of Fallout 3.
Now I want to complete the mission The Power of Atom, but I want it so that I am able to obtain the Megaton home, and still have the option of blowing up Megaton.
If that is possible, how can I go about doing that?

just wanted to have that option available whenever i feel like blowing it up.. lol

You could live in an "alternative" house and save the quest for later in the game. I like the Rivet City hotel room, other people use places like the Mechanist's Forge or Alexandria Arms.

You don't get the Megaton house until you disable the bomb, so, no. Is this a trick question?
