Point Lookout bullet sponges

Went to point lookout last night and wandered over to the big mansion. Went in to help the guy inside fight tribal types and, Whoa!! Those folks can soak up a LOT of shotgun rounds to the face. After dying a few times, I picked up the flamer I found started my own little walking Bar-B-Que :flamethrower: Fresh toasted tribal anyone? I had to lower the difficulty level just to survive the place.

The tribals and swampfolk are pretty tough but they fall quickly to a few mines or plasma grenades. The double-barrel shotty is pretty effective against them as is the unique Backwater Rifle you can find during one of Point Lookout's side quests. Sneaking helps a lot.

Beware places where ghouls might lurk. Reavers :cold:

This. Both the tribals and the swampfolk have fairly low perception, and if you're set up for sneaking then Point Lookout becomes a playground for reverse-pickpocketing!

As Ghouls said, do beware the reavers though. They don't take kindly to pickpockets.

No, it gets easier when you become a tribal yourself.
