Ive been to the Fort to meet Ceasar but the guard wont let me into the tent unless i go in on my own, which funnily enough i am!! ED-E was my companion in Vault 22 that was the last time i saw him b4 he disappeared, ive still got the enhanced sensors perk but i cant find him anywhere (Primm, Lucky 38 or in Vault 22) Does anyone know a way to make him reappear or get into see Caesar so i can get on with completing this glitchy, bug ridden game? P.s. reverting to a previous save is impossible because when i first realised he disappeared i just carried on, never imagined it would result in ruining the game!

Oh yea and ive just been to get Rex to take him to the doc in Jacobstown and been told "Rex growls at ED-E's presence"! HES NOT EVEN HERE!?!?!?! lol

just because you "lost" him doesn't mean he isn't your companion, you need to find him.

sometimes just hitting "wait"" for a couple hours will spawn him, but if he has a wait command, he will stay wherever he is, and you will have to retrace your steps till you find him., or load an earlier save.

i have the same problem i lost ed-e and the last time i had him was in valt 22 right before i blew up the pest control level, now i cant find him anywhere.

Going to the penthouse in the lucky 38 should set all followers to wait mode regardless of where they are.
The primary cause of ED-E disappearing is swimming under water., don't know why he'd vanish in vault 22 but several people have reported losing him some time after swimming through a flooded area of a vault.
Supposedly the next patch will make companions appear as way points on the map and improve how they fast travel with you.

Happens to me too - ED disappears for days (in game time) once he was gone for almost 3 months, then just appeared at Primm.. Cass has completely disappeared from my game - even if I go back to every location where we've been, she's nowhere to be found. I've given up on her now.. no messages either. We just have to live with the bugs/glitches and freezes - even though I'm getting annoyed by them (especially now that I'm lvl 30 and my save game file size is over 9MB)

There is a solution known that worked for me. Go to Vault 22 and use the elevator to go to the pest control level (bottom floor). Then all your companions spawn next to you, in waiting mode. You set them to follow mode again and then you're ok. You need to take the elevator, it doesn't work if you take the stairs.
