Introduction
After playing the much-acclaimed Side's Sailing Ships, I always felt there needed to be more to do in your new ship. More to explore and people there to try to kill you!
So the concept for Pirates of Cyrodiil was born, a few mini test mods, ships here, aggresive NPCs there. Certainly made things interesting. Now it's time for the real deal, real pirates, real factions and proper quests. So Pirates of Cyrodiil begins.
Description
This mod aims to create two fuedal factions, the Imperial Marines and the Topal Pirates. And offer you the player the choice, work for the Pirates or work for the Marines. Seek and destroy enemy vessels, ransom the captains, loot the spoils!
Primary Features
The following features will be the main focus of the work and will form the basis of the first release of the mod.
- Two factions to join, Imperial Marines and Topal Pirates
- Increase in rank for each faction, earn rewards and fame or infamy
- Sail your ship to enemy locations and board them (Thanks to Side's Sailing Ships for this and is a requirement, otherwise you can swim/fly I guess)
- Attempt to ransom the captains (bosses) once you have eliminated the crew
- Chests full of spoils of war to be looted
- Ongoing quest to eliminate enemy vessels and captains and earn rewards for each you kill!
Upcoming Features
The following are upcoming features, that will be the focus of the second release of the mod (after fixes and patches for the first release).
- Fire canons at your enemies!
- Capture or destroy the enemy vessel
- A pirate base of operations, small coastal town far from Imperial interference
- Watch the destroyed vessel sink!
Requirements
This mod will require the amazing http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1072969-relz-sides-sailing-ships/ , it will not require it in the initial release to run but most definetly will in the second release. But also, why would you play this without it? Unless you are RPing superman with no clipping?
Expected release
The first expected release will be very soon, alot of the particulars are being fleshed out. If anyone has any suggestions or comments on the concept, please post it here or contact me.
