Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition

Post » Wed Sep 08, 2010 4:37 am

Okay, well I am going to buy the Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition pretty soon, and I was wondering something really important.

Does the game of the year edition let the player play through ALL the games? Here is what I mean.

Say I am playing normal Fallout 3. And I come across the crashed ship that takes me to Mothership Zeta, will I be able to go back into normal Fallout 3 to play the other add ons after I finish THAT add on? Like wise for the rest of the games. Let's say I beat the whole game and am taken to Broken Steel. Will I be able to go play the other add ons after I finish THAT one? And, also, will I be able to leave those versions of the games whenever I want (without loading different games) and back into the normal Fallout 3 world to keep exploring or playing different add ons?

Sorry if this is confusing but I don't want to buy it if I can only play one add on without having to reload a save.

The DLC are all extra areas added to the game. Once you complete one you can go off to do another.

However, you have to either complete each DLC or pass a certain point in order to return to the Wasteland.

Mothership Zeta and Operation Anchorage have to be completed in order for you to leave.

The Pitt: you have to pass a certain point in its quest before you can return to the wasteland

Point Lookout: You can come and go as you please, though you have to pay each time until the Point lookout quest is complete.

Broken Steel: Simply follows on from the Fallout 3 main quest. Can come and go as you please.

Thanks guys. And all of the games come built in right? I don't have to down load them or anything to the Xbox?

And it doesn't cost like $200 right? xDDD

No, everything takes a couple of mintues the first time to load up and then it's all there. You can either start a new game with all the add-ons available straight away or carry on a previous save with the add-ons available from where you left off.

Edit: typo.

Wait, so game of the year comes with the 5 DISCS? So, when I download them it will all be on one disc after that right? I won't have to like "Insert "The Pitt" add on 1.04 version blah blah blah" right? I was hoping it was all built in :( I am not good at even setting up my PRINTER for the computer xP

Oh well that makes more sense. Not too complicated, I hope. :)
