I try to upload Gort for an avatar.
Scaled down the picture so that it fits the requirements.
The picture is 90x60....2.5k...

Message when I try to upload says 'You cannot link to that type of image'.

What am I missing?

Have you tried using http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy70/walt01/gort_lg-2-1-1.jpg?

As Veeno said, it has to be a direct link. Easiest way to tell is to check if the link end in an image file extension. (.jpg, .png, .gif, etc)

I'm having trouble with this too, how do I take a pic I resized on photobucket to become a direct link?

I'd use http://imageshack.us/ instead. No signup required, and it has a bunch of resizing options.

Thx, didn't know about image shack, and I think I figured it out, just delete all the text after JPG. etc.
