Light Based Thievery

Are there any mods that make sneaking light based and based on the fact of wheth or not you are in the line of sight?

Like the sneaking in Thief Deadly Shadows for instance.

Although I've never tried it, so I'm not sure how accurate it is.

Cool thank you very much but I am wondering it says that it directly alters the INI I already have Morrowind Code Patch so would these two controdict each other?

Or does the MCP not do anything to the .INI

The MWCP does not alter the ini.

There's also http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=1417. It's fun turning all of the lights off.

This plugin adds some new features to your sneak skill:
* Lighting-based sneak-skill modifier (bonus or penalty depending on time of day/lighting)
* Sneak-skill penalty for wearing medium or heavy armor (optional)
* Sneak Attack bonus (a fracture of your sneak skill is added as Attack-Bonus)
* Assassination (Instant Kill on a critical hit with short blades and hand-to-hand)

This mod has so much promise but it doesn't play nice with TLM mod.

Morrowind Enhanced Dev Kit is the v1.6 of MWE. The difference between this version of MWE and the previous one is that it adds more new script functions and also that it adds a compiler if you want to make your own MWE mods, but of course, it also has the files needed if you just want to play MWE mods and not making new ones.
The mod requires that you install MWE in your Morrowind directory. You need two files if you just want to play MWE mods: "Morrowind Enhanced.exe" and "Morrowind Enhanced.dll". Then, you have to check "MWE_Base.esp" (required to have any other MWE mod working) and "Enhanced_Stealth.esp" (the mod itself). After installing MWE and Enhanced Stealth, you just have to start MWE by double-clicking on "Morrowind Enhanced.exe" and have it running in the background, then launch Morrowind normally.

See, the problem is that many users (such as Fliggerty) have confirmed that MWE can royally screw up (corrupt) save games, and possibly is connected to stability issues. I don't know if the problem is replicable on all computer systems, or if it happens more frequently on some hardware/software configurations than others. Either way, I don't really want to take that chance. Ah, well... :(

Has it ever been said why that is, exactly? I'm curious as to what it is about MWE that wreaks so much havoc with saves.

I think Fliggerty and probably some other members (who know more about coding and program stuff than I) know more about the possible causes. I dunno. It'd be great if it could be fixed with a patch or something.
