Trying to install daggerfall from CD in dosbox

Post » Sat Sep 11, 2010 1:37 pm

Okay, so I finally got around to trying to install DF, and i tried to install it through DosBox like this

Z:\>MOUNT D D:\ -t cdromD:install

The installation came up and I selected HUGE install and it said I didn't have enough memory WTF!? I have more than 400 gb of free space on my hard drive. So I went back and chose minimal and still the same thing not enough space. I think its trying to install on the D: drive itself. Anyway to tell it to install on the hard drive? Thanks in advance.

BTW, I have DF intalled on Virtual PC (Windows 95) but the MIDI sounds are really messed up, I'm trying DosBox .73 as an alternative.

When you mount the harddrive, up the freesize amount to 800 or 1000.
OR
When you call install.exe, do it like this: install.exe /u

Thanks, it solved the memory issue, but I still can't get through installation. It says it can't create directory C:\dagger "Please change your install path" I went to change install path, but it said "No drives available" Why does it say that?

Did you mount your C drive? You have to mount both the hard disk as well as the CD drive.

How do I do that? I've read the DosBox wiki it didn't say anything about that.

That's just what happens, random npcs don't have corpses. Although guards do.
