Also, Pat the Patriot is the name of the original mascot for the New England Patriots. All you need now is to find a 3 corner hat...and a football.

Yes thats the 1812 overture, tried to find a mod for that kind of hat but couldn't find one unless you know of one. Did not know that about the mascot. I just thought it was funny name I guess I'm not original on that one.

Yes, and it was composed byTchaikovsky in the memory of the French defeat in Russia in Napoleon's campaign there in 1812. Completely unrelated to the US-British war that began the same year.

Well it is always played during 4th of July like ghoulsrpeople2 said. I know everybody isn't American on these threads but, 4th of July is an American holiday that celebrates our independence and they always play that song with fireworks during that holiday. 4th of July is a holiday where Americans gather around to watch a grand display of fireworks, that song is an American tradition for the 4th of July holiday. It has always been played on 4th of July for firework shows as long as I've been alive and celebrated 4th ofJjuly. Just because it wasn't made in America doesn't mean that it doesn't make a good song for a video with a bunch of explosions. You are right though that song probably wasn't written for the war of 1812.

For you bucket list...try and catch the Boston Pops on the esplanade on July 4th. The 1812 playing, all the church bells ringing, and the Nat'l guard firing off Howitzers in time with the music, fireworks going off over head and 1 million of your new closest friends. Its unforgetable.....and you will associate the 1812 with the 4th of July for the rest of your life.
