Steam Morrowind Mod Help

Post » Tue Sep 14, 2010 5:43 pm

Hey there all, lately I've had alot more time on my hands and have been playing some fo3 recently but I decided it's about time I got into morrowind. Im here to ask if there are any essential mods and how do I need to go about installing them with the steam version. I've asked a similar question before a while back but I thought I'd have more luck in the mod forum. Thanks for any advice.

Nothing special, you might have to redate the BSAs to what the retail ones are to make some texture replacers and mesh replacers to work. Johm_Moonsugars tes3cmd has a nifty little command to redate both the BSAs and the ESMs to their retail dates.

"Johm_Moonsugars tes3cmd" I'm assuming that this is a mod that re-dates the needed files for me? Where would I find this mod?

Not a mod, a program.

And if you're going to use MGE, there are some special steps for set-up. Check the MGE thread.

Like i said in your other post of the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1106724-needed-fixes/page__view__findpost__p__16205222 :P

I apologize about that I didn't quite understand what you had stated and waited to long to repost so I felt a bit foolish ;). Thank you though.

EDIT: Wow that program looks confusing...for as big of a nerd as I am, I am really not yet that computer savvy though I've played pc rpgs/mmos my whole life..haha....ha

It's really not too difficult to run it. Using a command prompt navigate to your Data Files folder and then drag tes3cmd onto the cmd prompt then type resetdates. Or you could add the folder that tes3cmd is in to your paths. I'm talking about just using the standalone version, the regular one you need perl but same thing applies you just need to install perl too.

Alright, thank you. I'm pretty sure I understand what to do. I'll give it a go anyways. :foodndrink:
