ok so i downloaded windows 7 like a month ago

and now it wont validate it says
"Key Management Service (KMS) is missing or corrupt " how do i repair or get it?

isntalled like i formated my pc and installed it, i basically upgraded from xp cause i was in the darkages

Have you activated it yet? If not, type "Activate" in Help and Support. Then follow the link to "activate on this computer". It may or may not work. If not, then yes, you'll need to format and reinstall.

Click Start then Help and Support. In the search window, type activate. That should supply a link to "activate on this computer". Try it and see what happens.

KMS is reserved for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volume_license_key#Volume_Activation_2.0, sounds to me like your downloaded copy of WIndows 7 is pirated, either that or your work has really bad IT.

If you didn't get this copy of Windows 7 from work/Microsoft TechNet, go buy a legit copy of Windows 7, because that is a pirated one.
