Walking around without clothes.

Actually, you could download an emulator and plug a USB 360 controller into your PC. Configure Skyrim's controls to the controller with the emulator (not sure if you even need that to be honest, I think Windows supports controllers in some fashion) and bang, you're playing Skyrim with a controller on the PC.

Nearly everything - if not everything - can be done better on the PC than on the consoles. Don't pretend we have something over you. We're the inferior platform and we know it. However, mods are neither a valid solution to every problem (encountered across the platforms and not just on PC) or a kind shred of awesomeness to rub in us lowly console gamers' faces.

True, good point.

However, mods are highly valued in this community, so it's hard to go somewhere and not see them talked about. But I can see how it would get bothersome.

In Morrowind I had a character with 300 hours logged. I made a grave mistake by wearing the High Ordinator armor of one of Almelexia's guards and saved over my one and only save. There was no way to pay the bounty off or anything. All gaurds in every town attacked me on site no matter what armor I was wearing.

After a while I tried walking into towns naked. People just laughed, but...they would do business with me. Before I was accursed and no merchant would sell me anything because of wearing that Holy armor and saving the game.

So that 300 hour character was reduced to a stripper everytime he wanted to buy something.

That's tragically hilarious

I loved how people in MW reacted to my lack of clothing. How come khajiits and argonians didn't have underwear back then? I always thought it was funny.

Like I said, I don't mind in PC threads. However, seeing people in every concerns thread saying 'don't worry about it - the modders will complete the game for BGS' really irritates me.

What if I said "I don't need to worry - the game will be a 360 title ported to PC anyway so it's going to rock on my platform"? Rage would occur.

I was furious at the time but it is hilarious now.

Luckily, I already did everything I wanted to do in the game by that time. I did Tribunal last.

For good measure I stripped down naked, strode through St. Olms library swiping books left and right and finally end up at Vivec's palace. He laughed, I killed him took his armor and than I had the last laugh!

End of story! (wish I still had that save)

Rage would indeed occur, :P

But I am neither a hardcoe PC gamer nor a hardcoe console gamer. I play games for both, and I can see the arguments for both types.

I'm sorry. You should see what I do in Fallout with the corpses of my fallen foes

Just spare me with the details ...

If your going to go out, go out in style being naked and killing a demigod

But it kind of brings up an issue for another thread which is saved file management. To easy is it to delete something crucial.

Also, discussion on improving the game should be focused on what BGS should be doing, not comprised of off hand comments remarking on how the mods will make everything better so there's no point in criticising BGS.

I'm sorry to have directed that rant at you. It's just that you were the straw to my camel's back and it's... very late.

I'm going to bed.

I'll never forget the time in Morrowind when a Greater Bonewalker sapped my strength and endurance.

I had to drop everything, including all my clothes, and run back to town

I was thinking about that the other day. Just how friggan scary Morrowind could be until you learned about the mark/recall spell to get you out of those situations. Where you had to drop everything because all your stats were devastated. Nothing does that type of stuff to you in Oblivion.

Or now I think of it, since you can customize bodies, if you've created a very unaesthetic PC, they should all cry out "My eyes! My lovely eyes! It burnz! Away with it!" or a mere gtfo...

Coming up with an algorithm for that which was actually believable would be tremendously difficult.

I believe that NPCs should react to many things. I also believe that nudity (as in, full nudity) should be available within the game, but it should be entirely avoidable if one wishes to avoid it (kind of like how in real life you can almost always prevent yourself from being exposed to nudity if you so desire).

Agreed:

Of course you should be able to be completely 'nvde' in Skyrim. People always suggest modifications will add 'nudity' so it doesn't matter anyway or it shouldn't be added because it can be added for those that want it on the PC through modifications, but not everyone will be able to get the PC version. The largest audience of people are still buying The Elder Scrolls for the consoles. Besides, those modifications made by people wouldn't be considered canon. It would be nice to see the ones behind the game designing the 'nudity.'

Since for some reason it's still an issue for people, there should be an option in the menu to turn on and off all 'nudity.' It could be defaulted as turning all 'nudity' off, and would make it exactly like Oblivion where the underwear can not be taken off and also for people being looted it would not remove theirs. Additionally, if there is a mission like in Oblivion where your character is supposed to be 'nvde' (the mission where you get your clothes removed in the Mage's dream world) it would enact it like Oblivion where everything but the underwear is removed.
