How would we know, we haven't even seen it in action. Crossbows? Why not, the more the merrier.

I was under the impression that the screen the character (Wood Elf?) in the forest with the deer was taken in the new third-person view.

Why don't you give it first if you started the topic?
We couldn't say much, we really don't know how it will move, we'll need videos for that. So I think about it... that it will be decent and just that.

But we haven't seen it in action, plus thats only a presumption. I don't want the GOW camera angle New Vegas used. honestly though, if they want the third person to be as smooth as a game thats made to be third person exclusively, they need an overhaul of the engine, animations and such.

Cant say honestly. The screens we have so far don't look too playable.

I hope they keep it similar to how it was in Oblivion but it needed some tweaks.

But not as much as FONV. I hated how it locked back in when ever I switched cameras.

I'm pretty sure you can adjust it, like FO3

It will probably be fine for melee but hard to use for ranged.

I hope its like Fallout 3's third person view where you can adjust the distance inbetween the character. I'll be using 1st Person mode exclusively unless I want to see how the character looks in the armor that their wearing or a closeup of the face.

Pretty sure that is a Nord in the screenshot.

No pointy ears.
Big muscular arm (elves are slender).
Long thick blonde hair.

Could be an Imperial too I guess. No way to really tell though :)

I would love a skewed, over the shoulder 3rd person camera, where the distance was adjustable like FO3 NV. The over the shoulder view is really the only way to actually have good 3p combat, otherwise you are looking at a cross hair on your back when shooting/attacking. Obviously I have always played ES games in 1p view, but if they make the animations amazing and give us a good view of the action, I might even play the game in 3rd person.
