Name: Realistic Death & Dismemberment Physics
Version: 1.35
Date: 11/06/2010

###############
Description
###############
Something that always annoyed me with Fallout 3, and now Fallout New Vegas, was the over the top death physics.

Let me give you a most classic example from FO3:

Your outside megaton, 10mm pistol in hand, when suddenly a stray dog rushes you! You pop a few rounds into him before he gets close enough for VATS to be viable.
You open vats, queue three head shots. The first on hits, then the second, the kill shot. You now watch the headless dog does three back flips before coming to rest far he was killed. The head? Oh, thats of course gone, far from sight.

Realistic?

No.

Fun?

Sure, for the first fifty kills.

This mod is simple enough, only changing a few game settings and explosion entries. The most difficult part was the fact this was the first time I'd opened the GECK.

fDeathForceDamageMin 0.00 (default 0.10)
fDeathForceForceMax 10.00 (default 60.00)

Compatibility
###############
Couples perfectly with my Realistic Death & Dismemberment.

100% FOOKNV compatibility.
###############
Known Issues or Bugs
###############
Vanilla 100% Bighorn head explosion:

Red Racer Factory, Washington DC, The Surgeon Log Excerpt #00234:
"...have relocated all surviving Bighorns to Mojave Desert for naturalistic study at a later date. Must end entry here, as reports of mass failsafe activation require immediate attention."

thanks, this was a must-have mod in FO3. Can you upload it to the Nexus so we can give props?

I am sorry, but I refuse to use the Nexus. In fact, I took my mods off the Nexus recently.

Do you mind explaining why? I was going to download the FO3 version of your mod.

Didn't know I had one?

And no, I'd rather not discuss the fact I was harassed by the Nexus moderators.
Or how 90% of file comments are trolling.
Or how I hate that sites layout.

There's discussing it, and there's explaining yourself, Exoromeo.

He's explaining his reasons. If he were discussing them, he'd have gone into detail and would be taking questions about said details. I'd say his reasons were vague, to be quite honest, since there are dozens of ways he could piss off a mod, trolling in many respects is relative, and there are probably countless little issues he has regarding the way the site is laid out.

I've never experienced harassment or trolling on Nexus, at least nothing I couldn't simply ignore. What you do with your mods is up to you though and it's hardly a lot of work to download from another site.
This sounds like a really cool mod, I'll check it out when I get a chance, I like the sound of it.

I'm a bit tired of shooting someone in the face with a 9mm and having then rocket off into a mountain three miles away.

Anyway, ditch the offtopic chat, this here is a thread for a mod not one to discuss the inability of Nexus Moderators.

Glad it sounds interesting, will look forward to any feedback you can provide.

Further replies based on the removal from the Nexus shall be ignored and requested for moderator deletion.

If you did make a FO3 version of this mod, can you give a link to it?

Oh, and thanks for the preview video.
