» Mon Sep 27, 2010 8:18 pm I have had my GOTY Edition for Oblivion for awhile now and played without ANY problems on a very similar PC about a year ago. 6-8 months ago I bought a new PC and got rid of the old one. I cannot Oblivion on this PC. I don't crash but the lag is horrible. Just getting past character creation took literally an hour due to being unable to move my mouse. And when it would actually move, then click something, it would take about 60-90 seconds before the action actually fired. All this with settings to the lowest.
This PC's specs are as follows:
Win 7 64-bit
Athlon quad core processor 630 (2.8ghz)
6GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 9100 3GB
I'm aware that the 9100 is not a top of the line card, and Oblivion isn't officially supported on windows 7, but after doing some research for the past couple of hours I've heard of people playing with very similar (some identical) systems with no issue. I have done the basics already of a) updating gfx card B) defragging system c) killing not-needed processes and a few other misc things such as virus scans and what-not. I have never had a virus or any problems with this computer.
On a side note; I've noticed that I am also unable to play LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online) now as well. I played this game awhile on this PC for a few months on very high settings with no problems. I tried logging in there since it's free now and was unable to move.
