Insane Glitch

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen of the forum,

This is one such glitch which I have discovered, and I believe; created. It's a shame it took me 2 years after the games release to discover it, but I finally have, and will display it here. To make it easily understandable, and perhaps even replicable, I shall write down in steps, what one must do to achieve this glitch. I have not stated what glitch actually does, as you can see, but that's because you wouldn't believe it, unless you've seen it.

Step No.1: Kill two people of different races in the same cell without dismembering either. (In my case, there were two males, and to differentiate them easily one of them is Caucasian, while the other is African-American. The quality if pictures isn't that great, and it's hard to tell a Caucasian, Hispanic or Asian apart in Fallout in the first place.)

Step No.2: Sever both their heads.

Step No.3: Pick up each of their heads, and place it where the torso of the other bodies head was. http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/15092010182.jpg?t=1284827368

Step No. 4: Leave, and come back after three days in-game time.

As a result, when I returned, what happened to me was http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/15092010184.jpg?t=1284827479.

That's right folks, what you're looking at is the head of a Caucasian male on an African-American male's body. The head has actually attached itself to the body it was close to, and thus it created some sort of hybrid dead-race.. I have not been able to replicate this glitch as of yet, but I believe it is possible. I left the swapped heads there as a sick joke of sorts, but when I returned to the corpses, they were in that form. This is the strangest glitch I've seen yet, and I have not heard of anyone ever encountering it before.

(The pictures were taken at two different times, the bodies in the first pic aren't the ones in the final pic, it was just used as demonstration.)

For anyone who doubts the authenticity, and thinks it's photoshopped, I still have the body in-game, and could, if you like; take multiple pictures, from different angles, and poses. If you still don't believe it, I will even make a video of it and show that, if necessary.

Anyway, has anyone actually seen this before? How did you like it? Are you gonna try it? If so, tell me what happens!

I have noticed this several times during my adventures in the Capital Wasteland, though I have not managed to figure out why it happens. If this is the case, however, it would explain alot :P

I've never actually played around with the bodies to make different skin-colours match, but i do tend to go for the Bloody Mess perk, and lets face it, its rather difficult to see whose innards are whose so to speak.

Wow. And here I was, thinking it's only ever happened to me. :P

Well, atleast I discovered a cause for it.

Alot of times, if you dismember a baddie, and leave the part near them, save the game, reload, and come back to the area, the limb has been replaced, but the dismembered limb is also still there. I assume its a way of skimming data down to a more manageable size, the game only needs to note "raider body" instead of "head/armless raider body" when you save or respawn the zone (3 days) the zone, and when you place the other body part there, it confuses the system. But what do I know? Nothing

You really stripped two guys down, cut off they're heads, and switched them? I thought the raiders were bad.

What happens if you put an animal head close to a human body?

Hahahahahahahaha... Imagine a raider with a deathclaw head. Or molerat head. Or a wastelander with a yao guai...

Ahem. Yes. Would be hilarious if it worked. Most likely not though :(
