Today I've installed the game and then I started it.

Then I played it for about a minute untill I was so annoyed by the bug that the lips' animations and the voice don't match and nothing happens before I hit esc. (which was already described in another thread) that I quit the game before completing my character.

I wanted to patch it, which I found out isn't possible thanks to automatic updates via steam (f*** steam!).

Then I tried to start the game various times, but after the window from steam appears saying it's getting ready to start NV my screen freezes and I have to reboot my computer.

I also tried deinstalling and reinstalling the game, but the problem persists.

I gotta admit my PC doesn't meet the minimum requirements (yet, I already ordered new parts), but that shouldn't be the reason for freezing screens when trying to start it when it already had worked before, should it?

I hope someone can help me.

Check your application log event viewer entries looking for Event ID 1000 Application Error entries and post the details here.

Now I found a solution to the problem, I just downloaded this file ( http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloa...e.php?id=34935 ) and it is working fine now.
