I went into the Lucky 38 to talk to Mr.House after I was at Caesar's camp and went into the hidden bunker I used the platinum chip to upgrade Mr.House's robots and told Caesar I destroyed whatever was down there. Now when ever I try to leave the Lucky 38 the screen goes black but music still plays I tried restarting my PS3 and anything else I could think of but nothing works. Is anyone else having this issue does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I havnt been able to play literally since the begining of November and I dont want to have to completely restart my game. Is this "comprehensive" patch fix this issue or am I ultimately going to have to restart the game? Any help/advice would be great!

I'm betting that the patch won't fix this. I had the same issue - (believe it's part of the corrupt save file issue). I had to reload a previous save file - lost over 13 hours of gameplay.

It hasn't happened again - but I avoid entering/exiting the Lucky 38 as much as possible.

Turn off your auto save and save frequently. I also never over-write an old file, but use a fresh save each time. I've read this game doesn't "like" multiple save-overs.

Thank you for the advice. I was crossing my fingers that the new patch would fix this issue but oh well I'm goning to lose a lot of hours of gameplay because of this which is beat as hell. But thanks for the help!

Try and sleep in a bed. Not sure why but sometimes the auto save fixes problems. Ran into a similar problem in ultraluxe where the screen went black, but it flashed on and off. After sleeping, problem solved. wtf.

I am stuck in the lucky 38 casino. Whenever i try to exit my screen goes black and i cant move but i can hear that annoying music. =[ To bad i saved over my old save game... -Facedesk- :cryvaultboy: Hopefully you will patch this soon...... SOOOON.... please.

Could be caused by the quest debt collector . After the quests completion you cannot enter the strip without wearing an old cowboy hat. This happened to me two play-throughs ago and ever since I just haven't completed the quest. try wearing a cowboy hat and leaving.

This is kinda BS. I have a good 30 hours+ on this character and now I can't play anymore because my character is stuck inside the casino. I went to go meet Mr. House for the first time. Explored the place a bit and now whenever I try to get back onto the strip the loading screen happens and as soon as it vanishes the screen stays black with the background music. Please Bethesda fix this and patch PS3.

What svcks even more for me is I just got to the strip and now can't do anything. Very disheartening...

A lot of us have this issue. For some reason - I doubt that the patch will fix this; I think it has to do with corrupt save files.

I opted to re-load a previous save - lost 13+ hours of game play, but I am pretty sure it will be longer than that for a patch (which may or may not fix the issue).

this just happened to me, stuck inside with a 30+ hour character. I am so mad.

I'm in the same situation expect in the hotel room at the Atomic Wrangler. Stuck in a 9 x 12 room with no effing cowboy hat to equip and no backup save to my second play through. :swear: :facepalm:

I know how you feel. I have been stuck inside the Lucky 38 for over a month I also saved over my old files so I'm pretty much screwed. This is my second playthrough and I really don't want to have to start over I think I'm a level 23 but since I havn't been able to play in over a month I don't even remember. I looked all throughout the Lucky 38 and could not find an old cowboy hat only old leather hats I tried that and it didn't work I also tried sleeping in a bed and killing Mr.House to see if that would do anything still I have the same result when I try to leave. I really want to believe the patch will fix this I spent over $80.00 on the collectors edition to only get a unplayable game... so annoyed
