The Warren Sign Up

Well, since this is the only Rp up right now, People will have to deal with it. Seriously though, someone should make something, this forum is looking pretty dead, only half-alive. Like a zombie! I Love Zombies! :hugs:

Eh heh. xD Nice.

I would, but I'm still pretty new around here.(I've been around for..what? About a month now?) So I'm kind of hesitant at trying to generate another RPG. Even if I had more confidence in attempting it, I'd need to develop ideas....and more likely than not I'd make a vault RPG(I can be a tad obsessed about the vault ideas...and all the genetic engineering. ;) ). I'm not necessarily talking about going to a vault to start, and then leave it. I'm talking about around the time this RPG will be in(right after the war, roughly), in the vaults...there would possibly be time skips. xd

But yeah, I might start making them later when I feel more comfortable in this forum, and feel like I know what I'm doing.

I started making my first Rp after a month. It was called The Game(if you search for it, I believe it's still around) And if you have any ideas I can help you. I'm just waiting here anyway.

Really? x) Generally it takes me a while before I feel I'm knowledgeable enough to make one-but that does generally, also, mean I take longer to know what I'm doing I guess.

I guess I could do what you guys did-make a thread about making another RPG. That could work, as I wouldn't be the only one doing the work(so less chance that I could do something stupid...).

Or you could PM me, I would help to the best of my abilities. But then again having other people help you would be nice for your first start. DB helped me with my first one.. a little. All he's done now is prove my own insanity!

Edit: I'll get DB! Yes I will...

Edit: Sill, were is it? I'm waiting...waiting.

Okay, I just posted the thread. x) Sorry for taking so long on that.

I wrote down all the possible ideas I have in my head right at the moment, to get all the discussing started. :) As a warning, I might sound ignorant-like I said, this will be a learning experience for me. x)

Was the forum more active before or something?? Or just generally better in quality? (In reference to the 'glory days' thing :) )

The aforementioned 'glory days' are more in reference to when the forum was a bit more active, and had half-decent RPer's, some of which aren't even on anymore.

Ah yes, the glory days. I happened to pop up during the golden age. There were so many RPs, it was like a gold rush!

But, like all gold rushes, they all eventually come to an end. People started leaving, others couldn't get along, and the overall quality of writers/players decreased. It was a sad moment, many writers giving their farewells, and from there, just went downhill. During this period, I also left.

It wasn't until recently I decided to come back. It was a sad moment, seeing the forum in the shape it was in. There were barely any RPs, and the writing just didn't have that, spark. If you know what I mean. :P

But, hopefully this RP will spark a new era for this forum. In a way, it already has. We have had tons of sign ups from people, many I thought would never return. It was great to see that the community still exists.

And now, the beginning of this RP is upon us, and we will be part of an RP like no other, one where everyone truly has a role, and it was made by the people, for the people.

Sorry for the little speech, but it's been great to see the progress we have made just from this. I can't even begin to imagine what will happen further on. :D

EDIT: Back to Perfect Dark!

Ah. Sounds like it was a fun time. x)

Hopefully people will get back into quality RPing more. I'm expecting this RP, at least, will be a lot of fun. :) With any luck, it will stir up some enthusiasm to make more RPs of quality. I'm attempting to make another one(with help) right now after all. xd Yttrium-should I still PM you about that sort of thing, or is the thread better to discus that? x)

Outside of this one, I'll admit I don't find any interesting RP on this particular forum yet(that I actually am aware of, at least). Sometimes the setting might interest me, but then the actual storyline is boring, in my opinion. xd Eh, maybe we'll get some new ones I'll also like. :)

If you can possibly find them search in the forums at about pg 30 or so and you can find a large number of past Rps to see how to was like back then

Oh yeah and check out, " A Different Land" I think that's a good example on how far a good RP can go with dedicated Rpers ( 6 threads!)

Oh...wow...six threads? Quite a few pages, there. x) That'd be a lot of reading, eh?(Not necessarily a bad thing, though. ;) )

I like the idea of having a long lasting RP, though. It's been a while since I've seen enough people that devoted to any one RP, though, that it would last for a good period of time.

I have to get my sheet up, so I will. Thrown together while freezing my ass off in my new house, its snowing outside like a mofo.

Name: Samuel Jessop

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Race: Caucasian, Irish-American

Appearance: Shaggy brown hair that dangles in front of his hard blueish-hazel eyes, his face is a hue of olive tan from working in the hot sun, his body is a sort of athletic build but overall more muscular than toned. He has several tattoos, including one of the Virgin Mary on his neck. His face is marked with a stubbly goatee, not very thick, but noticeable.

Personality: Samuel is a shy but incredibly intelligent young man, he is what you would call the "Strong, silent type." Samuel is immensely resilient, able to take even the most monumental changes and obstacles in his life in easy strides of effort. Once he warms up to a person, he becomes more relaxed and easy-going.

Skills: Before the bombs dropped, Samuel was a rather good chef. He also hunted, and trapped for money in some of the smaller towns.

Weapons: A very old SKS with a 30 round magazine, bought at a gun show. A .32 pistol. A 3 ft machete.

Clothing: A regular blue long-sleeved plaid shirt, blue jeans that are faded and a bit torn at the knees and ankles, rattler-skin cowboy boots, fingerless leather gloves, a bandana around his head and Aviator glasses. And a long brown leather duster coat.

Bio: Will explain later.

I'm so glad the RP is up. :) Right now I'm only waiting for the next post to be made, and then I'll be posting.

This ought to be a lot of fun though. The RP is the kind I personally really like(I've always liked the subject of experiencing the setting of anywhere right after the Great War-particularly when on the surface of Earth.), and the kind of character I'm using is slightly more original to what I'm used to. Not by much, I don't want to be uncomfortable with what I'm RPing with-but the fact that she's young and so impressionable(meaning she might change in personality and such somewhat throughout the RP, or admire older members of the group a bit) isn't something I've commonly tried before. Should make her a lot of fun. ;)
