Please do not relate this to Assassin's Creed.
Perched on a turret overlooking the great city of Skingrad, I watched as my target passed beneath me. I scurried down the tower wall, making sure not to be seen.
As soon as my feet hit the ground, I was pursuing the target. Sticking to the shadows and ducking behind barrels when the need arised. If I failed this mission, it meant expulsion from the House.
The target, a large Nord of obvious noble birth, I wondered why anyone would want him killed. He seemed harmless enough. My question was answered as he made a sudden turn into a tall building. It was the rival house’s headquarters.
I quickly ducked into an alleyway left of the building. Its walls were covered in vines. Perfect for climbing.
I climbed the wall, quickly and quietly. Thick, black rainclouds blocked the sun, and in a few seconds rain was pelting down upon my back. Thus making getting to the roof an even harder task, even for someone of my skill.
As I neared the roof I slowed, I already knew from experience that this House, The Grefti, had guards positioned atop their roofs. The Grefti are a secretive clan of Nord Knights that are sworn to eradicate the world of evil. I slowly climbed onto the roof and ducked as a guard passed in front of me. I made my way to a rooftop window and lifted two panes from it. As I dropped to the floor beneath me, I winced as I heard a yell and footsteps running up stairs. Hearing the sound of a sword being drawn I decided that now was a good time to hide.
I opened the lid to a large crate and climbed in. Closing the lid just as the door to the room opened, I drew my knife.
I heard footsteps echoing across the room and held my breath. I readied my knife as the footsteps got closer and the lid of the crate started sliding open.
“Probably nothing, now let’s go. Boss won’t be happy if we take too long. Just tell ‘im it was a rat or somethin’,” Came a muffled voice from outide the crate.
“Aw’right.” Replied the man who had been opening the lid of the crate, luckily now, it was being closed. I waited at least ten minutes after the men had left the room before I sheathed my knife and slid out of the crate.
Sorry about shortness, as I said. More information will be released soon.
