Other things to do

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:34 am

I have completed the MQ, Solstheim, and Mournhold. Are there any other quests I can do or do I just start another game with another character? I started doing my own quest (obtaining all items accepted by the Museum) and then I killed somebody trying to obtain the Bloodworm Helm and the message " . . . you have severed a thread . . . " came up. Any help on other things I can do would be nice and thanks in advance.

First of all, the warning on that NPC is a mistake. You didn't actually ruin the Main Quest.

I assume you're not on PC? Otherwise you could install some mods.

Have you done all the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Daedric_Quests? Or become a Vampire and then get the cure? (each Vampire Clan also has their own questline)
A common challenge is to build a Pillow Fort!

And it is fun to start a new character, with very different Skills, and play through some of the Guilds that you missed the first time. Or find all the Miscellaneous Quests scattered across the land.

You didn't mention guilds. Do them. And pick a house.

Oh, my...it's not like there aren't quests/guilds to join even in vanilla Morrowind...(...)

All of the above, plus Tribunal quests, Imperial Cult, Morag Tong...

Also, you can always limit the number of guids to join for your actual player, and create another one that fit the other guilds. That's called "roleplaying"...

Do you have the Morrowind GOTY Guide? It has some creative suggestions in the freeplay section. I don't remember them all but things like: Building a pillow fort, collecting all the books, finding the http://www.imperial-library.info/content/morrowind-easter-eggs, collecting all the artifacts, or visiting some interesting places like http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Palansour.

I'll see if I think of anything else...

You can join many guilds, it actually depends on your roleplaying how many you want to join.
The only thing you can't join are the other Great Houses if you join one (well, if you dislike exploits, that is).
Roleplaying is the best thing to do, if you have finished he usual quests. According to your RP, you can make your own quests, like stealing from the rich and give to the poor (or yourself), battle evil or do evil, etc.
After that you can start adding lands, for example with the Tamriel reborn project, then add more quests. And only after this, you can mod the game itself, like changing game mechanics, the levelling system, adding more enemies, etc.

I find that the best thing to do after finishing the MQ is to start over and try something different. I can't continue a game once I finish the main storyline because I have no motivation to play.I remember my cousin telling me to start wearing clothes and walk around the villages, his idea of make believe.. Needless to say I got bored quickly (this was 7 years ago).

Such hardcoe roleplaying is usually something for the hardcoe roleplayers. It's like living in the game and not everyone can or will immerse oneself that much.

That being said, you still can get a stronghold and decorate it with your trophies, stockpile supplies and weapons, maybe bring more NPCs there, stuff like that.

Search for the few slaves for sale, buy them and lead them to your house (try to keep them alive :) ), Collect (and read some are hilarious) the books that come in a series like the wolf queen for example, use the solsthiem and mournhold armorers to make complete sets of custom armor....

If you want a REAL challenge, I like to take the vivec assassin quest where you look for the woman with a dagger. When you complete the quest, you get a choice of a magic belt, or some ordinator armor. Take the ordinator armor, wear it, then talk to the nearest ordinator. They then attack you on sight. This is not the challenge. The challenge is to get so you can beat down groups of them using only hand-to-hand. When you can defeat 12 at a time (using hand to hand), come talk to me

ST
ps this works when ever you wear ordinator armor and talk to an ordinator. It also works with high ordinator armor and high ordinators.

Berne/Quarra/Aundae Clan Vampire-only quests.
Spoiler
Take note of who and where you got the disease from; they'll decide your clan. Such as if you were disease by Merta (I forget where she resides), you're apart of the Berne Clan. As well as that there's another 8-10 Vampire-only ones, including the Cure For Vampirism.

Temple questline.
Mage's guild.

Morag Tong.
Spoiler
A couple hits with these guys are apart of the Thieve's guild. Best to do the Morag Tong hits before/at the same time, if you want rewards.

Thieve's guild.
Spoiler
Heavily linked with the Fighter's guild, it's best you (using Eydis) work up to the quest 'Code Book', take it, don't report back and instead join the Thieve's guild. Then report back, continue on your way. That is, if you wish to use this loophole, as you can decide to simply exterminate the Thieve's or Fighter's guild.

Fighter's guild.

House Redoran/Telvanni/Hlaalu questlines.
Spoiler
Or using a loophole, there's a choice of two. However judging by the amount of negative disposition the likes of Thieve's guild quests give to Telvanni (I think), I'd personally go for Redoran.

Imperial Cult questline.
Imperial Legion questline.
East Empire Company questline. Tribunal only I think, but you have it anyway.

Complete Daedric Shrine missions.
Spoiler
Cure For Vampirism is one of these.

Put spoilers just in case. There are these as well as many other things people have suggested.
