Hopefully hunting will be a viable way to make money this time. In Oblivion, meat was very under-valued. If I spend a day out hunting mammoths, I expect to be justly rewarded by merchants.

^^This.

Not only was the meat undervalued, but hunting deer was so difficult at low levels. I always had the most difficult time stalking deer to get a kill and all I want is to RP my woodsman character! Here's hoping that hunting is more effective in Skyrim.

I personally hate horses and would prefer to be able to use some other creatures as mounts.
I'm going to brutally murder every single horse in the game.

Mammoths!

You know somebody will mod this in if it's not there.

There is something like that. I have the new Gaminformer issue and there is a picture of a Mammoth like animal.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas had no hoses, we have been suffering.

I don't think it's that anyone assumed they Wouldn't be in, but have been missing them for the last few years. :)

Exactly, when I bought fallout I was really disappointed that they hadn't included any form of personal transport, thats why I would like confirmation as to whether they will be included in Skyrim.

yah well how else can you run from a dragon if your too low level!!???

leave the horse so that the dragon snacks on it and gives you time to escape.

Aren't there also sabre-toothed tigers in Skyrim? I'm sure I remember seeing that in the GI article.

no boar meat?

epic fail bethesda.

The vanilla game will not drop meat for every creature you kill and this is concept art so it is not necessarily indicative of all of the available meats in game.

all that meat...might point towards a hardcoe mode perhaps?

That and being able to cook food...mayhaps you are right...

Riding goats and horses is fun enough :D

Sorry I wasn't talking about a mount I was just saying the actual creature is in the game. Or something like a Mammoth anyhow.

I expect to be riding dragons that's how. They have photos of dragons flying in the new GI issue (not a mount though... yet). So cool.

Yes of course. Mammoths are in the game. I'm very happy about it.
The reason I said that I didn't wanna ride them was because some other people in this thread have said they want it :)

Lots of people have though and he didn't quote anyone so he was just speaking generally.

What? too soon? (or more likely too old) ;)

Also to the person who said "keep your Mamoths out of elder scrolls towns and play conan instead."(or something to that effect)

This is a fantasy world anything can happen "as long as its not guns" most people are just saying it would be fun. Besides it would be like silt striders in morrowind :celebration:
