Fallout 3 Movie

Post » Sun Oct 10, 2010 12:50 pm

If there was a fallout movie, What actors would you choose to be in it? And, would you like to have a fallout movie made in the first place? I think if done correctly it would be a great atmosphere to be apart of.

A Fallout 3 movie would svck(think about the plot, terrible!), so I don't care about the actors that would be in it.

How exactly was the plot terrible, it couldn't have been the worst.

i, for one, am strongly for the separation of video games and movies...

they are two different artforms, and every time a video game is converted into a movie it's crap. every time.

It'll be a cold day in hell that a video game ever turns into movie that is anything more than a 1-start peice of crap. I think a Fallout Movie would ruin the series and I dread the day it happens.

That movie should've been a TV special, it looks like they had to force it to be two hours long by adding pointless running around scenes.

Meanwhile, in the Silent Hill games, there is a lot of running around.

Resident Evil wasn't bad. Then they murdered the franchise with 3 sequels...

Like I said, it depends on who is behind it. The reason why people think all game into movie svck, is because most have. But, that's still stereotyping.

Ron Perlman actually said that a Fallout movie will be made. See:

Anyway, it would make more sense to make a Fallout 1 movie first, not Fallout 3.

If there even WAS a FO3 move to begin with, is would have to be done AMAZINGLY, simply to aviode mass hate from all FO fans, And a good PA movies budget would be pretty high, and as for an actor, i think Robert downy Jr would make a very good lone wanderer, that's all I can think of for actors for specific chacters, but if actor:character chioce was done well enough, it would b a truly great movie.

The Postal film is pretty good.

Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Doom was awful films.
Idunno, if a fallout film comes out I will forever consider it non-canon even if it's better than Dazed & Confused, Dawn of the Dead1978, Clerks 1&2 and Not Another Teen Movie combined.

A Fallout movie about the great war before the other games take place might be interesting. I think a movie would be different than any of the games so, to start with a different story to begin with should work. An animation movie might fit it the best. I think the Resident Evil movie that was animated was pretty good.

Why it should start from the third Fallout ? That wouldn't make sense.

I would like to see one done of Fallout 1 directed by Terry Gilliam, staring (perhaps) http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/Bruce.jpg or http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/cage2.jpg as the vault dweller, with Howie Long Brad Garrett and Patrick Stewart as supermutants (and with Maurice LaMarche voicing the Master).

Why not have Jim Cummings voice the Master like in the game itself?

Certainly an option, Welker too, ~Can't really replace Tony Jay.... Stewart was first to mind, but there might be someone else in the biz that has a voice like that.

I'd love for Charlie Adler to appear as Harold too. And while Killian looks more like Richard Dean Anderson did back in 1997 rather than what he looks like now, he'd still be great in the role.

Christian Bale would play the lead, Sandra Bullock as Moria, Liam Neison as your Dad and I can't remember his name right now whoever played Eden as himself. Col. Autumn Matthew Magonahey (spelt wrong but you know who I mean).

Films are NEVER as good as the games they can't capture your Marathon sessions or your effort and in the game your the STAR not sum overpaid Hollywood Lovey.

Well if anything theres that Book of Eli movie that seems to share some of the themes of Fallout (excluding the stress on religion and radiation, mutants, and other oddities) so if it goes well then maybe post apocalyptic movies can be decent and thus a fallout movie might not be as bad as we all imagine

I agree.
A movie portrayes a game in one way.
But when other people play the game they see things differently, and play differently.
So when a movie does the 'typical' plot and ending, most people wouldn't want it.
