Daedric armour

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 11:21 pm

I believe the only way to get yourself a full set of Daedric armour is to kill Divayth Fyr in Tel Fyr, since I never came across any pauldrons or daedric cuirass (however I did find the boots, greaves and the gauntlets IIRC). Is it safe to kill Divayth Fyr after I finish the main quest? I'm not sure if I can find the other daedric pieces in Solstheim or Tribunal.

There is another way, create a spell with damage armour and calm humanoid and continuously cast it on Divayth Fyr... it may take thousands of casts but eventually his armour will break and you can just steal it off of him. Heck you can do it as soon as you get of the boat if you manage to find the right spells.

If you have the expansions or GoTY edition then you can get all the pieces, else not.

UESP has a full list of where each piece is:

The damage armour way would literally take thousands of casts.

However according to the UESP I can get the cuirass in Mournhold.

Thanks.

There's another way to get a cuirass. (See the Mistress Therena quest for House Telvanni in Wiki).

Get Auriel's Bow.
Talk to a guy in the Mournhold museum.
Trade the bow for for a daedric cuirass and greaves (both enchanted with 50 pts. feather) with Therena.
(Kill Therena to get the bow back).

Tribunal adds a pauldron and cuirass, Bloodmoon adds the other pauldron.

Quite a nice treasure and feeling of accomplishment if you get them all, they're in tough-as-hell places to get to.

It's extremely heavy though - even with max strength.

However I'm with House Hlaalu so I don't think I can do the quest for Therena.

@Hairdo: I use GCD so my strength is 115 right now.

You don't have be in Telvanni - it can be done as a standalone quest as detailed above.

The cuirass from Therana has an enchantment though, and has a purple glow effect if you don't use No Glow. Rather annoying if you don't like the visual effect/want to enchant it.

Ah, that's good. :)

I think one of my mods fixes the glow effect because although I still get a glow on my enchantments, its more subtle.

MCP probably does that. Even then, it looks a little silly when the rest of the armor is unenchanted/different color.

You're better off getting it in Mournhold, unless you don't mind the effect, of course.

Yes it's MCP (now that you mention it). I will be getting the one in Mournhold, seems the easiest way to get it.

Your replies imply you're on the PC.
So... just cheat a piece or two in? The ones giving you the most trouble.

Nah I don't use cheats. Would be easy but it wouldn't feel like I accomplished anything.

There's a really cool mod called http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5735 that has a really nice sets of armor that is the same textures and meshes as the games Daedric Armor that you can purchase there. Stats are pretty much the same but the colors are different then the vanilla's colors. This way you can leave Fyr alone. Really worth checking out.

you could go to the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Clutter_Warehouse... its not completely cheating (in my opinion) as you do have to fight for it... I dunno, not sure of your definition of "cheating"
