Electric Arcs

I made a copy of the FXElectricArc01 and set it to have a random animation start, but it has no effect. I am using a few of them in a single location, but it doesn't look right when they all fire simultaneously. Is there another way to achieve a random animation start? I'm guessing I should make multiple Nifs for the arc and vary the animation start time keys. But I was hoping there might be a simpler way.

The objects I've seen working with Random Anim Start only have texture transform controllers (like the oasistorch), no location/rotation animations. I haven't been able to find one that has both (like the arc) and Random Anim Start checked. That might be an issue.

If you find one that physically moves as well as the texture moving/changing with random anim working, might be able to narrow it down.

There are actually 2 electric arc objects, and they both have different animations as well as corresponding light objects that go with them.

Ya, I am aware of that. I am using several so even with two different ones, there is still some repitition that I was hoping to avoid. Oh well.

Yeah I think you would need to change the animation start times and from that make a new NIF that you put in-game. The most I've been able to do with them is stop/start them using the PlayGroup Forward/Backward commands in-game (I use the arcs too, as well as the tesla streams and some other animations from BS. BS has alot of Really nice effect animations for power-stuffs!)
