Memory Leak?

Does this game have a Memory Leak?

I played it once long ago. I own the GOTY edition. I was playing on an old 9550 ATI and it ran without any crashing.
Then I tried playing on a Nvidia 7950 and got a bunch of crashing. I asked someone about it and they said it was because Morrowind has Memory leaks with certain video cards.

Now I have a new mobo, cpu, psu and pretty much everything. 2GB of memory, 3850HD vid card. If I start playing this again-- because ... it's morrowind, do I need a reason to play it? -- will I run into the memory leak or any other such crashes?

I'll play through oblivion again but I'd rather play morrowind. Anyone?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_leak.

Though, if I recall correctly, a memory leak occurs exclusively at a programming level, meaning that the memory leak would be a universal occurrence and wouldn't be affected by what hardware you were using.

Hm, then I wonder why I crashed before and not when I first played? Mysterious. Someone told me it was a memory leak but now I don't know.

I guess I never will.

How often does it crash? Lets say you plan to play an hour, how many times?

Well I was going nuts with mods so ... but I installed the Balmora mod that packages everything allin1 and then I was crashing a lot.
I suppose it could've been that mod, I thought so anyway, but I went to a tech support forum outside of here and asked them about it, and they said that Morrowind had a memory leak but, as stated previously, now I'm not sure if that is true or not.

This was about a year or 2 ago so that is why I asked now. I never had that problem before and it always bugged me then. I know I was using Wyre Bash then, which I thought was cool because it wasn't around when I played through the first time.

I suppose the only true way of knowing is to install it on this new system of mine and try to play through without any mods. Maybe turn it all up and just tape the W key down in TGM for a while to see what happens.

Write all your mods, then someone who knows mod issues will help you out.

Enough. Sorry, but you're not helping. It was a speculative question. I was not requesting tech support, which btw moving this there buried it under the heaps of other threads that are far more worth the assistance than mine, as mine was years previous.
Also, I don't believe you understood the question clearly.

In any case, this thread may be locked. It no longer serves any purpose.
