Team Deathmatch/Slayer

Too bad. I love objective-based gaming, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to frag the other team into oblivion.

Well, if you take container city for instance, all the resistance has to do is kill the security and the robot......... :brokencomputer:

Hah, exactly. I gotta find me some servers that run classic. The medic update wasn't too bad, the Pyro was eh, but after that it became what was on the right :\
Hopefully Brink doesn't become that sickening.

Well with brink the guns don't have stupid quirky attributes like, +5 HP for every bullet that hits, or 50% move speed with each bullet hit. In brink the guns are just point gun fire bullets hurt things.

wich is a totally different thing compared to running around without a head, looking for kills.
at least in my opinion...

i'll take the objectives anyway, i dislike having to run around all the time.
i want to know where i can find the frontline:)

Which was great in the earlier BF games, and once BFBC and BFBC2 came out, those flags had their own bodyguards.....

Yeah but the only reason that happens is because BC has smaller maps, Hopefully with BF3 it will have proper size maps. Good job the beta starts soon.

This is starting to sound a lot like Monday Night Combat. No team deathmatch, only objectives........I like killing more than defending/capturing........

This game wasn't mean to appease CoD/Halo Fans, man.

I find it strange that people think OBJ has little to no actual combat, couldn't be more wrong.

It actually has a much more focused and fast-paced combat element, since players tend to be grouped in areas or importance on the map (objectives,) whereas in DM/TDM games, players can be scattered all over.

Yea, I've noticed on objective styled gametypes on games with (T)DM mode(s) that the objective gametypes tend to have better fights in them, just because of the fact that people mass around certain things. CTF for instance has some of the best battles I've ever seen just because you can have 8 people massing on a single point rather than 8 people going lonewolf style.
