Running slow on 360

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:44 pm

Hi guys, I finally have the free time to get into this game properly. The game takes a very long time to load a save, especially loading the game on startup.

If I make a mistake or make a decision I feel uncomfortable with, the load time for re-loading a save is lengthy(and im a pretty patient guy).Is this normal when playing it on 360 or is something up with my hardware/software?

Im talking 4-5 mins on the loading screen.

I didn't know Beth made a MW edition for the 360 platform. I mean, I heard it was suppose to play on it but at compromised speeds and integrity.

Its the origional xbox GOTY version, im running it on 360.I have no idea if it ran this slow on the old xbox.

Im playing at the moment and all other instances of loading are fine ie. going through doors or passing to a new area. Its only saves that are a problem. Its totally tolerable I suppose, I just want to know if I suffer alone.

Edit; Is it wrong to sell ash statues? (completely unrelated I know)

Xbox loading times are verrry slow when you start up your Save. And they only get longer as your Save gets bigger.
I remember when I played on Xbox, I would go make breakfast while I waited for my game to load.

Nope. It's fine.

Remember you can load the game onto your hard drive to lessen load times. I have done this with Oblivion, I am assuming you can do this with Morrowind as well.

I always install to the 360 hard drive if I can.Unfortunately its not possible with old xbox games.

Its been a few days and im used to the waiting now, I just make sure I have this laptop beside me when im playing.

The Xbox 360 was made to play xbox 360 games and not originals. It is pretty much either the software or the disc reader that makes it longer. Backward compatibility is a option for the xbox 360 but it doesn't always necessarily make the xbox original game run smoothly on the xbox 360. I think it is more of the software because original xbox games are for xbox and xbox 360 games are for xbox 360.

I sometimes have problems with my Xbox 360 when I try to play a xbox original when it is backwards compatible. For ex. I have freedom fighters for the original xbox. When I play it on the xbox 360 I have longer loading times and it freezes in the middle of the game.

Just be thankful that it is backwards compatible. I can't even play MGS2 on my Xbox 360 because it isn't backwards compatible. Just be glad morrowind is backwards compatible.
