I recently downloaded the morrowind GOTY off of the steam network and I was playing it fine for about 3 days, but just recently i've found that I can't make a save game. Whenever I try to save the game it says "You cannot save the game now". I was wondering if anybody new a fix to this glitch/bug. I've tried going to were there are no enemies around and it still gives me that message. I don't want to lose all the progress I've made since my last save by exiting and restarting the game just to find out it still gives me that message so, can anybody help me?

I'm not sure about the steam version of morrowind but I know that in regular morrowind you need to set it to be an administrator in order to save in windows 7. Try right clicking on steam and then properties, compatibility then check run as administrator. I had this problem with my CD version and that's how I solved it.... also sometimes steam downloads are corrupted (like my HL:Source wouldn't show any weapons even though I could use them, but I couldn't really aim...) this was solved by redownloading it.

I hope someone can come up with better answer then these but if you end up closing your game, you could try them. :S

Thanks for the advice, Actually though a couple minutes after posting this I got a message "Morrowind has stopped working" and it closed out, I restarted it and I could save fine.
