Kody walked through the door to the Citadel Lab. A lot of things had happened since he whooped the asses of the Adams Air Base with an airstrike from the base itself. The scribes combed through the enclave tech and realized there were enough suits of the Advanced Mark 2 Power Armor to distribute amongst the whole D.C. Brotherhood. Soon, every member had an enclave set of armor with a sloppy Brotherhood logo slapped onto the front and back. Also, Scribe Rothchild was almost done Liberty Prime again. But, there was nothing to use it on. The wasteland was finally clear of supermutants because they cleared out Vault 87. The creatures of the wasteland were somehow cleansed by the new completely clean Patomic and the raiders were finished. Now the Brotherhood had to deal with itself. They had found some old communications technology when first clearing the Citadel of rubble and put it away for later. Also, the Outcasts became even more powerful because of the tech they earned through tireless combing of the ruins.
Kody stopped. What was he doing here? With the Brotherhood? It was all quite strange, considering he had grown up in a vault. "What if dad had never left?" he thought aloud. "What?" Sarah Lyons said as she walked up to him. "Oh, nothing, I was just thinking what would have happened if dad had never left the vault. I mean, I would still be in there... would the vault be evacuated eventually?"
"Probably not." she explained rather blandly.
"Probably not" Yep, that about sums it up.
Kody and Sarah approached the somewhat repaired Liberty Prime and saw Rothchild pushing the scribes around like bugs in a kitchen. "No, I never said put the sensor modules in his ass! I said put them behind the proccessor!"
"Having fun Rothchild?" Kody asked, quite pleased with scene in front of him.
"Yes, absolutely." Rothchild said sarcastically. "I've actually got quite a task for you, if you're up to it."
"Well! If you haven't said that since I went to Adams Air Force Base, then I'm assuming the enclave is back!"
"Well, no. Not really...It's the outcasts! They might as well come back! They said that 'until you see that our mission is to collect technology, and not people, we will not follow you!'. So, I think you know what you have to do!"
"Yeah...sounds great...."
"I'm going too." Sarah blurted out.
"Sounds great!" Kody proclaimed as he grabbed his T-51b helm off the table.
(I don't care what people will say, but I'm going to switch this to 1st person right now)
(I'm Kody, for those who can't read. [I mean, is there anyone else in the brotherhood named Kody?])
Turned out it wasn't just me and Sarah, it was Kodiak and Glade also...
The entire time I had Paladin Glade complaining about how I don't think he's a badass. "Come on! I can snipe a bottle the size of a pin-head from the citadel to the other side of the Patomic! Can you do that? No!"
"Actually, you can't. I saw you try in that bet you made with Gunny, alright?"
"Damn, you saw that?"
"Saw it? I FILMED it!"
Sarah broke out laughing. "I can't believe you didn't notice it, he showed everyone inside the citadel!"
"[censored]!" "I was told that no one saw it except Gunny!"
"Well, yeah, no one saw it, but someone FILMED it!"
Suddenly, a laser scorched the ruined road in front of my feet. We looked ahead and saw the outcasts, donning their modified Tesla Armor and Wattz Laser Rifles. We shot our arms up and pointed out the insignias covering our chestplates. No answer. We throw a message to them and they read it. They slowly begin to beckon us towards them and order us to give them our weapons. "Hell no!" Kodiak screamed.
"Hell yes!" Casdin yelled back as he took off his helmet. "What, are you guys gonna join us? Tired of Lyons ways?"
"HELL NO!" I screamed straight in his face "We're gonna go back to scaving tech, you guys wanna come back?"
"Seriously? You guys are done?" He said quickly, looking somewhat unwilling to accept.
"Hell yeah we'll come back! Just let me get my radio..." Casdin slammed his electic charged elbow into Kodiak's stomach. "[censored]..oww, [censored]haa....."
I swore to myself as I realized that they still had our weapons. I pulled my fists together and slammed them into Casdin's unarmored face. Knocked out cold. Sarah and Glade had delt with the two others.
"Great! The outcast just said '[censored] you!' and we can't do [censored]!" I said to myself.
"HEY! You there!" A small woman screamed as she ran towards us.
"Yes, hey, you guys are brotherhood, good....I see you took down Casdin. Good, we just kicked him out....He was seriously crazy, he went mad with power when we told him we should join back up, you guys wanna send some here, and we send some there, or what?"
"Uhhh, sounds good." Sarah said in disbelief.
"Great! Let's head back!" I said, just as Sarah realized Kodiak's ribs were shattered.
Kodiak didn't make it.
I don't feel like explaining it.
When we got back to the citadel with some outcast buddies, we were all ready to hit the hay, but the outcasts, well, they were going crazy trying to comprehend the changes to the Brotherhood's command centre.
I fell over on my cot, feeling the stress of that day on my shoulders, like a pile of rubble. Sarah sat beside me, in her lingerie. She looked gorgeous, but what was she doing here? She quietly told me about how she needs someone to keep her company, and I said "Gladly."
The next morning, she was gone, probably scared of what everyone would say. Glade approached me. "Buddy, you don't want to start forging, alright?"
"Forging?" I said back stupidly.
"Well, it is hot steel, is it not?"
"Woah! Dude, that's creepy, are you watching everything I do?!"
"Just giving you a heads up."
He exited my apartment as quietly as he had entered.
Me and Sarah continued to keep up the same routine for a few weeks.
"Man, if that's forging, I have got to be a blacksmith."
