Tenpenny Tower Quest *spoilers*

Post » Tue Oct 19, 2010 9:56 am

The Tennpenny Tower quest has some options and I am considering a peaceful solution. If I can negotiate an agreement with Tenpenny and the residents which would arrange for Roy Folker and his fellow ghouls to move into Tenpenny Tower then will there be a wider and more abundant source of ammo available in the shops? Will there be CALIBR ammo with FWE? Previously, I disposed of Mr. Burke and saved Simms, even though he is not much of a toughy for dying from one 10mm shot to the shoulder ( as far as toughness goes in the case of health in Fallout 3 ). The bomb is also impotent and Cromwell has no idea, so Megaton is safe. And is there a special use for the ghoul mask, or does it just do what it does and nothing else?

Nope. There really is no "peaceful" solution- only one where Roy Phillips' fellow ghouls do all the butchering and leave your hands clean. You get them a pass to move in, they do, and when you come back later they've killed the Tower's entire population and taken over. In which case a couple of the ghouls are now shopkeepers, selling the same stuff as before.

Spoiler
It just does what it does, which is make feral ghouls ignore you. Considering that without it they're 100% hostile 100% of the time, that's got "special use" written all over it as it allows you to walk brazenly past/among any feral ghouls anywhere in the game with maybe 2 exceptions, one being a specific-named feral in the Dunwich building who attacks while all the "normal" ferals in the area are neutral if the mask is in use.

If you opt to help the ghouls and
Spoiler
go in while the massacrer is going on you can loot just about everything without loss of karma.

The Ghoul mask is on of the best quest rewards in the game.
