Getting Redguard and Battlespire

Post » Wed Oct 20, 2010 10:41 am

Is there any place I get Redguard and Battlespire in a store or online without having to resort to getting a used copy of Ebay. Also if there are new ones are they ridicously priced like Daggerfall?

I don't know of anywhere where they are very cheap. Games seem to regain value as they get older.

Like all the past games, gamesas no longer sells them, so the internet is the only way I'm afraid.

Has Bethesda considered re-releasing Battlespire and Redguard?

I know I'm going to get biased answers, but I want to know: Is it worth it to get Battlespire and Redguard? Are they really that fun?

Ebay and similiar places are pretty much the only way to go. Unless you get lucky and stumble upon it in some bargin bin or second hand shop somewhere.

Battlespire is a good dungeon crawling game if you can get into it. The beginning of the game is pretty boring IMO, but it does get better eventually. But it does have it's fair share of flaws and hasn't aged that well so I don't think many newcomers to the game today would finish the first level.

Redguard is a technical nightmare to get to run properly on a modern computer (they should have released a DirectX5 patch), but it's very good. Think of it like a TES Tomb Raider game, although you're free to explore the outside island as you please most of the time and talk to people and so on. A joypad is also prefered for this game. Such a shame they never finished the PS2 port of the game.

You don't think Bethesda will ever update them, patch them up, and sell them again? I've found a place where I can purchase each for under $30 USD, and the manual and artwork is included.

If you're a fan of dungeon crawling and daedra, then battlespire would probably be fun for you. I'm playing it right now, I forgot how deep it gets into the interaction between different groups of daedra.

Damn I would have totally bought that.

Can you post a link?
